We had been in the room now for about an hour. We moved to lay on the bed and I held Mia close as she just lay next to me without saying a word.

Time passed and I looked down at Mia and noticed that she was asleep. I carefully let go of her and slipped off the bed. Taking one last look back at her to make sure she was still sleeping, I walked over to the room door, opening it and slipping out the room. I closed the door over and locked it so no one could get in the room. I walked along the hall to the lifts and got in one.

When it reached the ground floor, I walked out towards the beach. No doubt, that's where my parents will be.

As I walked along the beach looking for my parents, I saw a little boy with blonde hair running towards the water. I smiled at him because I knew that it was Connor. I saw my dad go after him and then I spotted my mum with the twins. I walked over to her and sat down on the sun lounger she was on.

"Joseph, what are you doing here? You and Mia aren't suppose to be here until next week," my mum started, holding Odette on her lap.

"There was a change of plan. A very big change of plan," I told her as I took Odette from her.

"Why? What happened?" She questioned as she picked Matthew up.

"I'd rather not talk about it here. I've left Mia..." I started.

"Oh, Joseph. Why did you leave her?" She butted in.

"Mum, I haven't left her, left her! If you had let me finish, I was about to say that I have left her sleeping in the hotel room!"

"Oh, well that's okay then." She muttered, putting some sun cream on Matthew.

"Mum, I can't do it." I almost broke down in tears.

"Do what?" She asked.

"I can't pretend that everything is okay when it's not," I answered, standing up and putting Odette down next to her.

"Joseph, sit down." She instructed as I began to walk away.

"Joseph, where are you going?" My dad asked as I walked past him.

"Joseph!" My mum shouted.

I ignored their pleas with me to stay and walked back to the hotel and up to the room.

As I walked into the hotel room, I noticed that Mia wasn't laying on the bed.

"Mia?" I asked, starting to get worried.

"You left me," she said, coming out of the bathroom.

I looked at her as saw that she must have been crying again. I moved closer to her. "I didn't leave you. I simply went down to the beach to look for my parents. I would never leave you."

"You still left without telling me where you were going," she whispered, looking down at the floor.

"You needed your sleep and I wasn't going to wake you."

"Oh..." She nodded, looking up and out the french doors to the balcony.

"Do you want to go out to the beach and just sit with my mum and the children?" I asked her.

"No. I don't- I don't think I can," she stuttered, moving over to sit on the bed.

"Not even if I say that I won't leave your side?" She shook her head and looked up at me. "I'll keep you safe if you come down with me."

"You're still going to go down?" She asked.

"Yes I am and that's why I want you to come with me. I won't be leaving your side the entire time we're down there," I told her.
