Jillienne's POV

Into my third day in Australia and so far I haven't really gone outside to roam around visiting tourist spots and stuff. Just hanging out with the boys were enough for me but today they said they want take me out so now we're inside Ashton's car heading to the first place they want to take me to.

Ashton's the one driving, Michael's riding shotgun and I'm stuck in the backseat between Cal and Luke. We went to the place they suggested we go to and took pictures together but Luke remained quiet, still going on with his silent treatment. Luke talked to everyone except me and it was starting to piss me off so I did the same.

What they didn't tell me was that, to get to get there we have to walk up a hill, a freaking rocky hill and the weather was as hot as hell. I was never a fond of warm weather and a very unathletic person.

I looked up at the hill and gulped.
"Do we really have to?" I nervously asked them and they looked at me.

"It's not that far up." Michael said.

"I still can't believe you can hike." I chuckled.

"I try to be adventurous sometimes." He wiggled his brows. I laughed and playfully hit his arm.

"It'll be worth it! Come oooon!" Ashton said running off with Michael and Cal close behind him.

I took one last look at the hill, cursing under my breath.

"You don't have to if you don't want to." I heard Luke speak and I looked at him surprised. He had a different look on his face that was hard to miss, he looked nervous, chewing on his lower lip.

"So he speaks." I said sarcastically and walked off as fast as I could.

After like 10 minutes of walking up trying to reach the top of the hill under the burning sun I felt my chest starting to tighten and I halted, trying catch my breath. My hands touched my knees and I started panting heavily.

"Shit." I heard Luke curse as he walk in front of me getting down on his knees. He called out the boys to come back and cupped my face, checking on me.

"Hey. Hey, you okay?" He worriedly asked. "Baby, Stay with me."

"Can't breathe." I said in between my pants.

Once the guys came to me Luke sprinted back to the car, he came back panting with my bag in his hand. I was starting to feel a little light headed and the hot air was just making it worse.

"I got it!" Luke held up the inhaler he got from my bag.

"Hey what's happening?" Ashton panicked.

"She has asthma?" Michael asked worriedly.

He placed my inhaler in my mouth and I grabbed his hand trying to keep it steady because he was slightly shaking. He ran his hand down my back to help me calm down and I stared at him until I started breathing steadily.

"I'm sorry." He chew on his lower lip to stop them from quivering. "I'm so sorry."

The boys looked at him weirdly not knowing what he was sorry about but kept quiet. I gave the boys a look and mouthed if we could have a minute and Calum nodded , dragging the boys with him to head back to the car.

"Hey, it's okay now. You were there and you're here now. You saved me again." I held his face and smiled at him.

"No." He covered his face with his hands as he fell down, sitting on the ground. "I'm so dumb. I should've been ready. I should've-"

"Luke, it's not your fault. It was mine, I pushed myself too much and I should've been careful." I hugged him  and he buried his face into the crook of my neck.

"Uh Luke," I gave him soft pats on his back when I felt my neck getting wet. "Are you seriously gonna cry over this? I am still alive." I joked. He pulled away and I sat in front of him watching him wipe away his tears.

"I was scared." He mumbled, looking down to avoid my eyes.

I knew right away that he wasn't just talking about what just happened. It was coming back to him.

"What happened before wasn't your fault. You didn't know." I explained to him.

"Well, I shouldn't have done it. It was my fault." He retorted looking straight at me.

Flashback
"Luke, where are we going?" I asked, holding onto the wrist of his hand that was covering my eyes. He told me that he needed to show me something and that it was a surprise, hence the hand eye mask.
"We're almost there." He said, walking slowly to lead me to the place.

I nodded my head, still a little worried.

We halted and before I could even process what happened I was already in the water.

"LUKE!" I panicked when I couldn't feel my feet touching the bottom of the pool.
"LUKE! I CAN'T SWIM!" I paddled my hands and feet to keep myself afloat. The last thing I saw was Luke's terrified face before everything went black.

Next thing I knew I woke up to a very familiar scent, the smell of a hospital. I kept my eyes closed and listened to the people talking.

"Good thing she was brought to the hospital immediately. If it was any later we could've had bigger problems. She has asthma and her lungs almost collapsed." I heard a man speak.

"Thank god. We had no idea." A woman replied. "Thank you so much."

I heard the door open and then it creaked again telling me it was shut close.

"LUKE ROBERT HEMMINGS! Did you not think about how dangerous that was?" I heard her yell.

"I'm sorry, Mom. I didn't know that she can't swim." I heard a boy mumble, sounding sincerely sad.

Liz? Luke?

I opened my eyes slowly to adjust to the brightness.

"Luke?" I looked over to the chair in the corner and saw him sitting with his head hanging low. They looked at me and rushed to my side.

"I'm so sorry, Jillienne. I didn't mean to! If I knew I-" his rambling was cut off by my small giggle.

His eyes were a little puffy and red.

"What?" He asked, looking utterly confused. I shook my head and smiled. "You were worried about me."

He huffed. "Of course I was. You're my bestfriend!"

My smile grew wider.
Bestfriend. My first ever bestfriend.
End of flashback

"I already told you, it wasn't your fault. Stop blaming yourself. I didn't even blame you." I stood up grabbing my bag from the ground and stretched a hand for him. "Let's go?"

He took my hand and stood up. I was about to pull my hand back when he gave it a squeeze. I smiled to myself, looking down at our hands. "And Luke?"
He looked at me and I reached for his cheek, giving it a light pinch.

"Baby? Really?" I raised an eyebrow at him. His eyes widened remembering what he had said earlier and looked away clearing his throat.

I laughed at his reaction.
Why is he so cute?
