He's okay

After n'ya akong kamustahin, he asked, "So how about your father? How is he?"

I answered, "He's okay."

If being a doctor / drunkard / gambler / not the good father is the basis of being fine, then my father is totally at his best condition.

After talking with my Daddy's kompadre, I immediately went back to school. Dumiretso ako kaagad sa student council office at nadatnan ang kwarto just the way I want it.

Walang ibang tao.

I started working with the unfinished papers. When I am done, I cleaned the room since it's messier than usual.

While I was sorting our file cabinet, the President entered the room.

He was holding plenty of papers but his eyes were glued in his battered Superman figurine. Nerd.

I cleared my throat and abruptly said, "Uwi na ako, Jake. Ingat ka na lang later when you go home."

Clumsy.

I was about to help him na pulutin yung mga papel pero pinigilan n'ya ako at sinabing mag ingat ako sa pag-uwi amd thank you for my work for the S.C today.

I'd like to raise an eyebrow but I stopped myself. So lugi pa s'ya na nag-offer ako ng help? So gusto na n'yang solohin 'tong office? Fine.

Lumabas na ako ng kwarto but before I completely closed the door, I saw him from my peripheral view wiping something on his cheeks.

I think he's okay.
