Chapter 1: Lexi's POV

'I got a pocket, got a pocket full of sunshine'

'I got a love and I know that he's all mine'

'Oh, Oh, Ohhhhh'

"ARGHH" I scream as I get up to turn off my oh so annoying alarm.

Today is the first day of school.

Another year another waste of time

Don't get me wrong I like school as long as you take away the boring classes, the crowded hallways, and the majority of the people in school, on second thought . . . I HATE SCHOOL.

Why on earth do people think that we will... first of all get up in time to get ready and look presentable plus have breakfast whilst having our eyes open I don't think so, and secondly how do they expect us to get to our classes on time cause we are all rushing to get to rooms that are sometimes, well most of the time, on the other side of the building, teachers should try rushing through the super crowded hallways of human beings who don't get the concept of walking at a decent speed not taking their time, like come on we have places to be and people to see.

I hear the footsteps of my mum getting closer and closer and I know that if I want to live to see another day that I have to get out of bed before she comes into my room.

Whoops too late.

My mums walk into me having my legs on the bed and my arms on the ground looking around for my phone. I look up and, against my wishes, open my eyes to see my mums hand on her hips and her fuming face, it's one of the faces she uses when she's dealing with one of her hard cases for work.

A million thoughts pop into my head mainly consisting on ways that will end in me not being able to see the next episode of pretty little liars, and it's on tonight . . .

"I told you that you have to be out of bed at seven thirty and it's now eight O'clock which means you only have twenty minutes to get ready" she says as she goes to my comfy chair sitting in the corner of my room and grabs out the clothes I picked out yesterday to wear for today.

I spent about an hour yesterday trying to find the right outfit to wear for today. I didn't want to look like I spent an hour obsessing over the right outfit which I actually did but we don't need to tell people that do we. I ended up going with a cute pastel pink pleated skirt which I paired with a floral crop top and my favourite white wedges. I've styled my long dirty blonde hair into luscious curls and put a bow the same pink as my skirt into my hair. (Image Above)

I look at the time and realise that I had to be out of the house five minutes ago so I race out my room and down the stairs. Grabbing my keys from the kitchen counter along with my school bag and my essential cup of delicious, strong coffee, I'm out the door and making my way to school.
