Chapter 30

Chapter 30: Lexi's POV:

I wake up hearing someone say my name. Ignoring them completely I roll over and pull the covers over my head in an attempt for the person to leave me alone. While I'm in the in-between state of being awake and being asleep I remember where I am and who's armed I fell asleep in. 

A smile involuntarily makes its way onto my face. A feeling of utter glee takes over my body as I slowly fall back asleep thinking about Chase's arms wrapped around my waist. Just as I am on the brink of falling asleep I am greeted with the freezing cold morning air. 

I crawl around the bed in search of anything to protect me from the cold, while still keeping my eyes shut in an attempt to keep me in a sleepy state. I end up with a few pillows covering my body as a makeshift blanket after the one I was using was ripped off my body by someone. Someone who also happens to be calling my name. Someone who is so desperate for me to wake up.

Wait! Who the hell is this person? I Spring out of the bed and grab the first thing I can get my hands on which happens to be a pillow. Who knows it could be useful. I quickly rub my eyes in a fail some attempt to get the grogginess affecting my vision to clear. Once finishing the task of waking my self up, completely. I look up to the person who is the cause of the sudden wake-up. 

My eyes fall on a cheeky grin adorning Chase's face. I roll my eyes at my stupidity. Of course, it's him, I'm in his freaking room, it's not like it would be anyone else. I snap out of my thoughts when I hear a giggle. 

I snap my head in Chase's direction completely and utterly confused at the girly-ness of the said giggle. It was too high pitched to be from him. There is no way he produced that sound. I know I'm correct when I see movement behind Chase. I walk to the side to try and see what it could be when I see the cheeky grin of another Adams family member (A/N: Guys don't hate me but I sort of just had to do it, the opportunity was there and of course I took it) 

I see Lucy's little body hiding behind Chase in an attempt to not be seen. I go along with it and pretend I can't see her standing behind her brother. I look up to Chase and he gives me a wink indicating that he knows what I'm about to do. 

I tip-toe across the room towards Lucy and Chase. Just as I'm about to reach them Chase jumps out of the way giving me perfect opportunity to go up to Lucy while she doesn't expect it an tickle her. 

Inbetween her giggles she lets out begs and pleads for me to stop. So I do only Chase takes my place and starts tickling her. After a little bit, Chase stops and Lucy is a mess sprawled out on the floor still giggling. 

"That's for waking me up this morning," I say when the little girl finally catches her breath.

"It wasn't just me, Chase did it too" She gives me the pouty puppy dog face but I try with all my will to not crumble to pieces.

"I really,"I say turning my attention from Lucy to Chase. I raise my eyebrows in a jokingly threatening look which makes him raise his hands up in surrender.

"In my defence, it was her idea," He says pointing to Lucy.

"Yea but you were the one who woke her up" Lucy argues back making Chase sigh in defeat. "Chase needs to be punished, I got tickled but he hasn't had anything" 

"Oh yea," He asks raising his eyebrows at Lucy

"I think she has a really good point, hmmm. what should it be?" I tap my chin in thought. "Lucy do you have any ideas?" She comes running up to me with an almost devilish grin on her face. Chase see's the look she is wearing and visibly gulps in fear of what's about to happen. 

"Lucy whispers in my ear her plan and I nod my head in agreement. And that's how we ended up here in the grocery store with 3 chilli's, a can of dog food and some other disgusting foods that will surely go down a treat for a certain Chase Adams.
