Chapter 22

Chapter 22: Lexi's POV:

Todays the day everyone has been looking forward to. I hate to admit it but I've been super excited for it too, well, only since Chase asked me to go with him.

Today is where everyone gets all dressed up in their prettiest gowns and fanciest ties. Everyone has done their hair to perfection, and simply are excited to have fun and dance with everyone. Todays the Belle ball.

I went shopping the other day for my dress to wear tonight, this time I didn't run into Chase and his family, which is good for my state of mind at the moment. Ever since the other day in class after Chase asked me to go to the dance with him I've come to the long self debated conclusion that I do truly have a crush on him. Okay its way more that a crush, but I cant tell him and ruin the friendship I have with him. I cant ruin the friendship I have with my only friend at this school.

I quickly have a shower thinking about how tonight will go, will it be awkward between us, will he dance with other girls and completely forget that he took me to the dance. At this thought I abruptly turn the streaming water off not wanting my thoughts to linger to any other outcomes for tonight that would most likely not occur.

After hopping out of the shower I walk over to the vanity in my room while tightening my towel around my body. I apply a decent amount of makeup, just enough to keep it looking natural but at the same time dramatic. The dark black winged eyeliner and the deep red lipstick matches my dress and shoes perfectly.

Swapping form doing my makeup to my hair I decide on leaving it out instead of putting it up into an up-do as I'm already running late so I keep it simple and lightly curl it with my curling iron. Just as I finish I go to my closet and get dressed. This includes putting on the most beautiful dress on.

When I was shopping I was trying to find a dress that looked beautiful and elegant but at the same time unique and slightly different so I could stand out. I ended up going with a red dress with the top of it a beautiful deep velvet red material and the bottom of it a flowing red material.(Image above is her dress) I have on black heels though they cant be seen as my dress covers them from view. I grab my phone as I get a message form Chase informing me that he's downstairs.

On my way out I put on some simple jewellery and grab my small clutch and phone before leaving my room. Just as I get to the top of the stairs I see Chase deep in conversation with my dad. Have to admit it, he looked simply handsome in his simple black suit.

As I take a single step down the stairs Chase looks up and our eyes connect almost as if we where from a book or movie. I feel like we are the only people in the room, only this is me thinking so I have no clue what could be going through his head.

"you look..you..umm...WOW!" Chase says as I stand infant of him with an obvious look of awe on my face. At his statements my check involuntary turn bright red and I use my hair to cover my face while I try to catch my composer and attempt to calm the redness of my cheeks to spread even more.

"you look handsome by the way" I say once I have my cheeks have calmed down.

"Thanks" he says and I swear I see a slight colour rise to his cheeks. Before I can say anything else my mum decides that its time to take photos so we spend at least a half an hour taking way to many cheesy and cliche photo's, including the once standing in front of the fireplace while my back is pressed against his chest and his hands wrap around my waist. All I can think is how my stomach rumbles with butterflies the moment his hands come into contact with my skin and I internally groan as I can feel my small crush grow by the second.

After spending forever taking photos we decide that its time to go so we go outside and we get into the car and make our way towards the dance that I know I will never forget though I don't know whether it will be for good or bad.

Hey guys, I'm so happy right now. I know that it has taken me way too long to update its just that everything at the moment has been pretty hectic and writing has just been the last thing on my mind and I'm truly sorry, i will try to update as soon as possible.

So as some of you know, we got four thousand views on this story and i seriously couldn't be any happier. If it wasn't for the constant love shared by all of you reading this i feel like i would have given up on this story a long long time ago so i truly want to thank you all so very much. 

This story is coming to an end very soon and i feel like there will only be a few more chapters but i promise you guys will completely enjoy it because i have a few twists that i know you won't see coming.
