Chapter 47 - Two Face

Ellie POV

"Impossible!" Ramond been denying it. It was just him, Clint, Nick, Dad, Elliot, and I were in the office talking about it.

"He could be right, Ramond," Nick agreed.

I was holding Hope as she was looking around. I kissed my daughter's forehead.

"How then Vincent? Enlighten me!"

"There's a myth on the first hybrid to be born. An Alpha mating with a vampire."

"We're both wolves!"

"She may not be a vampire, but she obviously carries the genes of one. It's like I carry the genes of your species. I could mate a wolf and have a full wolf child, " Elliot argued.

"Okay, then why is my boys not hybrids? You tell me that!"

"Ellie carrying 3 hybrids could have risked her life Ramond just accept it!" Clint sighed.

"I'll accept it when I see it."

"Ramond, she doesn't sleep... vampires don't sleep... she doesn't take her milk all the time. If my Dad feeds her animal blood, I guarantee her eye colour will be different to both vampires and wolves."

He stared at me.

"You honestly believe them?"

"How would you know? I'm with them 24/7, trying to look after them and look after our pack, " I spat.

Nick carefully took Hope off me. "Guys, please leave. I would like to talk to my mate alone," Ramond said, not breaking eye contact with me.

They all left as Clint closed the door. Ramond sat down in his chair, gesturing me to sit. I obeyed.

"Ellie... I want you to be completely honest with me."

I slowly nodded.

"How do you feel?"

"Alright," I shrugged.

"Ellie -"

"I'm fine," I snapped.

He sighed to that. "You don't look or feel it, Ellie. What's going on?"

"I'm tired," I admitted. "I just wanna rest..." my eye lids were slowly dropping.

"Ellie, how much sleep have you had?"

"None."

"God dammit Ellie!" He stood up. I stood up with his help as he carried me.

"Thank you."

"Rest up, I'll look after them, baby. You're exhausted." My eye slowly closed.

Ramond POV

She fell asleep in my arms as I laid her down. "Alpha, rogues has been spotted."

Crap.

"Alpha Ramond?" it was Tess. "D-Do you want me to babysit? I c-can if you want."

"Please do Tess and make sure Ellie gets her sleep."

"Yes, Alpha," she bowed.

"Thank you."

Tess POV

I stared down at Ellie, who was sleeping, and slowly placed a glass of water down on her desk beside her.

I heard Hope crying and walked over. She stared at me.

"Don't worry, I'll save you from the bad Luna." I cooed, pinching her cheek.

"Now I just need your mother trust to finally take you away from her." I giggled.

Ramond POV

I sighed, making it back to my room, seeing Ellie still sleeping. The glass of water was gone, I'm glad she's at least drinking. I climbed into bed, wrapping my arm around her.

'Her wolf is not responding to me!' My wolf whimpered out.

'They're tired. Let them relax..'

'I guess...'

I closed my eyes, drifting off to sleep.
