Ellie POV
He glared at me after Nick put the fire out.
"....oops?" I suppressed a chuckle by gently biting my lower lip.
Clint suppressed his chuckle by shaking his head.
"How do you set the toaster on fire?!" Ramond questioned.
"Well... the toast was cooking, and I was poking the knife in the toaster, and I saw a spark. I got fascinated by it and well... KABOOM," I explained innocently.
He let out a groan as he sat down.
"Would you still like your toast?" I smiled, my eyelashes fluttering gracefully.
"I'm good. Clint can go make it since his dearest best friend did it," he mocked.
"Hey man, she's your mate!"
"Clint, " he growled.
"Fine," he grunted.
"Luna, do you want to play football with us?" A pack member suddenly asked, coming in from the back door.
"Want me to beat you like last time?" I smirked.
"Bring it on," Isaac grinned.
Ramond grabbed my wrist, making me frown. "No!"
My eyes widened to that. "Why not?!" I growled.
"You got to help me with the rogue and vampire situation!" He growled.
"Isn't that an Alpha and Beta job? Isn't a Luna supposed to look after the pack and motherly them?"
"She does have a point," Nick mumbled. Ramond only glared at him being outnumbered.
"Have fun." I skipped out, grabbing the ball off of Isaac.
Ramond POV
'I love my childish bubbly mate.' My wolf sighed, making me roll my eyes.
"Give it time, her newly adaption will kick in," Nick reassured.
"It's been 2 weeks, and I think she's just grown even more childish."
"Isn't that a good thing? I'm sorry, Ramond, but you have said some pretty hurtful things in the past, and she's never once snapped at you."
'It's true, she's very bubbly and happy. Leave mate like that!'
'Shut it!' I hissed back at my wolf.
'I'm shaking. Come at me, vampire!'
'Jesus, you and Ellie should date, not me!'
'That can be rearranged'
Ellie POV
"HAHA, BEAT THAT SAM!" I high fived Jack as I scored a goal for our team.
"I'm going easy!" Sam groaned.
"And when wolves can fly, I'll believe that," I smirked.
"Luna!" A woman looking terrified approached me. "My son has gone missing. Could you please assist me in searching for him?"
I hesitated for a moment, but seeing her distress, I nodded. "Of course," I replied. "Make sure you win it for us, Jack." I then yelled.
"I will do my best, Luna."
Ramond POV
"Okay, my mate and I will be there. Thank you, Alpha William." I placed the phone down.
"Alpha William has arranged a meeting of the neighbouring packs to deal with the vampire attacks." I explained to Clint.
"What's the problem? You seem frustrated about it." Clint frowned.
"I have to bring Ellie with me."
"Good luck..." Nick snickered
"I'm gonna need it."
Ellie POV
While I was hanging upside down, I engaged in a lighthearted conversation with Adam.
He was perched on a tree branch, and I had just killed the rogue who was attempting to reach him.
Finding myself with some free time, I decided to join Adam in the tree, where we discussed our favourite cartoons.
"Hell no! Scooby Doo all the way!"
"Nuh, uh Tom and Jerry." Adam argued back.
"Whatever you say, little guy!"
"ELLIE!"
I was startled and let out a yelp, causing me to lose my balance and fall from the tree. I landed on top of the dead rogue and swiftly regained my composure, ensuring that I was unharmed.
Ramond was standing there with his arms crossed. I smiled innocently at him.
"Hi..."
"Where have you been?" He growled.
"With Adam," I pointed to the little boy. "He got lost and found a rogue trying to get to him. So I killed it and joined him. Okay, Ramond, which one is better, Scooby Doo? or Tom and Jerry?"
He just stared at me with that harsh glare of his. "Okay... good answer.. Adam, come down, Mama, looking for ya." I said as he jumped down.
I held his hand as we skipped back to the pack area.
The woman ran over and hugged her little boy.
"Thank you, Luna." she bowed to me, taking Adam as they walked away. "Thank you, Luna," a man said, sighing in relief. It must have been Adam father.
"He has been running around the territory in his wolf form the entire day," Clint stated as I observed the parents embracing their young son.
Nick walked over. "Aww, wasn't that such a Luna thing to do?" he pouted.
I narrowed my eyes and punched him in the gut.
He hunched over, groaning in pain. "Was that a Luna thing to do?" I asked mockingly.
"No," he replied in a whimper.
I was quite proud of myself for that and skipped back to the pack house.
