Ellie POV

'Will mate be fine with this?' My wolf inquired, prompting me to roll my eyes as I put on my boots.

'I don't care what Ramond thinks.' I grumbled as I stood up.

Quietly leaving my room, I tiptoed down the stairs. I took one last look around, then opened the door and closed it gently. They all had their backs to me as they patrolled. I snuck around, running to the woods, and giggled to myself at how bad they were at their job.

The scent had become subtle, yet I was still able to detect it. I found myself venturing far beyond the boundaries of my territory.

Suddenly, a sharp sound emanated from behind me, causing me to startle. "Hello, is someone there?" I said, my voice betraying a slight tremor.

A sudden gust of wind occurred, resulting in being grabbed by someone. I let out a cry and propelled them into a tree.

"Oww," the person groaned.

"Elliot?" I gasped as he rubbed the back of his head, standing up.

"Jesus, nice to see you too."

"Elliot!" I squealed, jumping into his arms.

He chuckled at that, wrapping his arms around me.

"I've missed you so much, Ellie." I buried my face into the crook of his neck, biting my lips to hold back my tears. But I couldn't.

"Shh," he cooed. "I'm here, I'm here."

"I miss Dad and Mum Elliot," I choked out.

"Dad, okay, He misses you so much, Ellie, and Mum would have been so proud of you." I looked into his dull blue eyes.

"You really think so?"

"I know, so"

I just stared at my grown-up twin brother.

"Daddy separating us, Elliot."

"It's for a good reason."

"We won't see each other agaim until we are 18"

"That's too long." My 8 year old self whined.

"It'll go by fast, I promise."

We both sat down in silence, attentively absorbing the tranquillity of the night. "How did you know it was me?" he then asked, directing his gaze towards me.

"Clint would have informed Ramond of the scent you left. I was aware that I was the only one who could detect the scent only. I remember mum describing how she recognised dad as her mate. Let's be real. Vampires dont have a type of scent unless it is your mate or... in our situation, their twin," I chuckled.

He smiled at that.

We both then heard a howl.

I gasped and stood up. "Mate?" He questioned. I nodded. He sighed. "I'll meet with you soon. Until then, please stay safe." He kissed my cheek.

I shifted into my wolf form. He smiled sadly at me. My ears went down as I whimpered, being separated from my twin again. "Goodbye, Ellie," and with a flash, he was gone.

I swiftly returned along the path I had taken, unexpectedly encountering a group of wolves. Among them were Clint, Nick, and Ramond. By chance, I found myself falling atop Ramond. While I maintained an endearing and innocent expression, he responded with a menacing snarl.

'Where have you been?' He growled through the mind link.

'I went on a run.'

'Alone at night? What would of happened if a vampire got you?!'

'There was none out there.' I rolled my eyes.

He shoved me off, shaking his fur and getting back on all fours.

I sat there as he shifted, showing his naked glory.

I'm so glad wolves can't blush. "Shift now! Everyone else look away." he ordered in his Alpha tone. Everyone quickly turned their back to me as I shifted.

I noticed that he was gazing at me with a lustful look. His eyes darkened, causing me to feel uncomfortable. I cleared my throat to draw his attention, and he quickly shook his head as if to clear his thoughts. He then threw his top at me, which I put on as the others turned around.

"I won't ask again. Where have you been?!" He snapped.

"Like I said, I was out on a run." I spat storming past them.

He firmly grasped my wrist, causing me to face him.

"Don't touch me," I harshly ripped away from his grip and shifted, running back to the pack house.
