Chapter 28 - Alpha Edward

Ellie POV

"Why do I have to wear this?"

"Because Alpha Edward is related to the Alpha King. So please be good!"

"But he knows what I'm like."

"He knows how you act, and he thinks it's for entertainment."

"Fine..."

"But just saying you look absolutely stunning."

"I feel naked with a net curtain around me," I huffed as he chuckled.

"You ok?" He then asked again.

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"You... had a little breakdown in your Dad arms yesterday, and you were shoved about a lot, I'm just happy you are both ok."

"Got lucky," I shrugged.

"Your father spoke to me last night. He was concerned about you. He even started showing me baby pictures of you and spoke about your mother, showing me a picture. You look like her. She's like your doppelganger."

I smiled at that and looked down.

"After hearing him speak so highly of you, the love he has as a father, it made me more excited to become one myself. How is our little one doing?" He then asked and crouched down to face my small bump.

"It's not much, but he or she is starting to kick." he smiled widely at that and leaned in, giving my bump a kiss.

"Why couldn't you have been like that when I was pregnant with Jonathan, Edward?!"

Ramond shot up as I looked up, blushing seeing Alpha Edward and his mate Luna Amy standing there. He playfully rolled his eyes and shook Ramond hand then mine.

"How are you feeling, Luna Ellie?" Edward asked as Ramond wrapped his arm around me.

"I think Luna Amy can understand the relief of the morning sickness being over"

"Oh yes honey, I was over the moon!"

"Amy," he scowled.

"Don't worry, Ramond, making me behave too," I winked at her. She giggled.

"Since we are not needed..." Amy took my arm.

"We are gonna have some girl time together,"

"You look after Ramond mate she's carrying their future Alpha."

"Yeah, yeah,"

"Woman," he mumbled.

"Tell me about it," I heard Ramond reply.

We both gasped at that.

I crossed my arms as Ramond nervously chuckled.

"Love you..."

"Uhuh,"

Amy smirked as we walked off.

"Men," we mumbled.

"Heard that."

"Good!"

We both giggled as we went to a bench sitting down.

"It's so beautiful out here," she sighed.

"It amazes me how after being attacked, it looks like it never happened?"

"How are you holding up on that? Ramond informed us all about the newborns working with the rogues"

"I don't think they're working together they're just after the same thing."

"Gives them a chance to be a team."

"I'm just trying to pick myself up piece by piece, I feel like I'm failing at being a Luna,"

"You are definitely not. The pack loves you! Ramond loves you."

"It's not about being loved. It's about protecting them, and I'm doing such a shitty job," I sighed.

"Things like this happened, I felt exactly like you when I became Luna, but it'll eventually kick in Ellie. Right now, focus on your baby, your future Alpha."

Ramond POV

"Seems good."

"They can't bite through it. We tested it out."

"I'll take it."

"I'll get my Beta to sort the numbers out and send it off."

"How's Luna Ellie holding up?"

"Not good. She's acting fine, but I know she's not fine, I know she's hurting emotionally and physically."

"She'll pull through it. She's tougher than she looks,"

"Oh, I know that. Her cousin called our pup a mutt, I had to pin her down with all the strength I had left in me."

"Females don't get it, but they're strong."

"Only when it comes to an insult to their child"

"Their wolf motherly side comes out."

I looked over to her with Luna Amy. She was laughing and smiling. Just what she neeeded.

"They both get along great, don't they?"

"I can see them becoming best friends in the near future,"

"Amy is pregnant so they can go shopping to bond."

"Congratulations."

"It's stressful, but... It's worth it. I adore my son Jonathan, I'm letting him have a childhood before he starts training as the next Alpha."

"I was 9."

"Didn't have one. That's what happens when your Dad was the Alpha King, but my brother. I think he's doing alright with the role."

"How did you become an Alpha to your own pack?"

"Helped my brother out, the pack was attacked, The Alpha and Beta were killed off, he didn't have a mate nor family, I took it on, my best friend joined as Beta helping me out and brought it back up, what about you? Aren't you James's youngest boy?"

"Brother was killed the day it was passed down on him."

"I'm sorry to hear about that."

"Things happen for a reason, don't they?"

"They sure do..."

I was staring at Ellie and how far we have come.

I generally used to dislike her, and now... I just adore her, she carrying my baby, our future Alpha. I was deeply in love with her.
