Chapter 2
Danny Fenton, eh? Well, this is going to be good.
You walked into the doors of Casper High. You are a new Freshman student. It's Friday the last day before the weekend. You wore a . As (y/n), you were shy and nerdy but as Love you were just the opposite. You never knew why, it was just like that. You walked by a group of jocks and a big blonde came up to you. He laughed at you as he realized you were the "nerdy type". The ghost you wanted to punch him so bad but this you just tried to ignore him as you looked for your classes.
"Look, a new girl! She's a geek!" The blonde yelled to his friends.
"I'm not a geek," you said quietly, "just because I wear glasses doesn't mean I'm a geek."
"What did you say, geek?" the blonde got mad. He placed one hand on your shoulder.
"Leave her alone Dash!" You looked to see the one and only Danny Fenton A.K.A Danny Phantom.
"Butt out Fenton! Or you'll get the worst beating in your life." the boy, Dash, called back. Before You could get away, Dash shoved you in a locker. You were in there for a good 2 minutes. There was hardly any space and you couldn't breathe. Am I claustrophobic? you thought. No that's not it.
"Help! Get me out!" You panicked. You tried to break free but it was no use.The thought of you being half ghost never occured to you, you too focused on trying to breathe. The locker door flung opened and you fell out landing on your side.
"A-are you ok?" Danny asked. You sat on the ground your back against the lockers. You shook your head as you took deep breathes. Danny helped you up and smiled.
"You're Danny Fenton, right?"
"Yeah. How did you know?"
"Mr. Lancer warned me about you. He said that you were a no good trouble maker that always fails his class."
"Oh. Well I wouldn't say always fails his class. Are you new here?"
"Yeah. It's my first day." You pushed your glasses up and looked at the ground.
"Do you think you can show me around? I have no idea where to go." You said handing your schedule to Danny. Danny looked through your schedule and said," Wow, you have all my classes except 5th."
"Wow... Cool." Class was already 13 minutes in and you were still out in the empty hallway. You looked at Danny as he continued to look at your schedule. He wasn't a bad person. In fact, he looked really cute. 'No! He doesn't!' the ghost you said.
"Well we better get to class." Danny said making you snap out of your thoughts.
"Hey instead, you wanna ditch and go some place I found?" You said but it wasn't you you. It was the ghost you.
"Uh... Well, I do hate Lancer's class. Sure." Danny agreed. We left school grounds and went to the park. Danny wasn't so bad. 'Yes, he is!' the ghost you yelled. During your time hanging at the park, you got to know each other a bit more. You could already tell you were going to get along great. 'No we weren't!' said the ghost you.
School was way past over by now and it was getting late. The sun was setting and you were getting a bit sleepy. You dozed off here and there. Danny noticed and offered to walk you home.
"No, that's fine." you say.
"It's no problem, really." Danny insists. You gave in and started walking. You both walked in complete silence. It was awkward yet comforting in a way. As you reached the doorstep of your home, you grab your keys and unlock the door. As soon as you walked in, you are greeted by the familiar in your living room.
"Dad?! You home?" you shout. No answer. Danny stood at the doorway and gaped at your house. You waved for him to come in, he did. You both sat on the couch and stood silent.
"So... Where are your parents?" Danny asked.
"My mother died giving birth to me," you said in a very soft voice that was barely audible. "I never knew her." Danny looked sadly at you.
"I'm sorry." he said. You sighed and changed the topic to food.
"You want some pizza? I can order some if you want." you grabbed the house phone and $10 from the cookie jar. You yawned and rubbed your eyes.
"No, I'll order. You just sit and take a nap. I'll Wake you when the pizza gets here." Danny grabbed your hand and led you to your couch and took the phone and the money.
"Okay, but you better wake me up." you said. Danny nodded and dialed the number.
I dialed the number to get pizza. I didn't know what (y/n) liked so i got a simple pepperoni pizza. I looked over back (y/n) to see her body in a peaceful sleep. Her fell in front of her face, I carefully moved it away from her face. After making the call I sat on the couch and turned on the T.V, making sure the volume is low so (y/n) wouldn't wake up. (y/n) kept mumbling stuff in her sleep, I couldn't understand what she said. Then I think I heard her say the words half dead. Funny, that's what Love said when I asked how she became a half ghost. Could (y/n be Love? No, Love is too much of a bad girl and (y/n) is the shy type. There was a knock on the door, the pizza man was here!
"Thanks." I said handing him the money. I set the pizza on the table and saw a note. It read:
(y/n),
went on a business trip with the company. Won't be back 'til next month. Sorry sweetie.
there's left over food in the fridge and money in the closet for food and emergencies. Be a good girl at school and NO PARTIES! take your meds.
DAD
Wow. How could he dad just leave her alone like that? And what meds? I woke (y/n), slightly shaking her. She grumbled and turned her back to me.
"Hey, come on the pizza is here." I said.
"I don't want to get up." she grumbled. I sighed and brought her the pizza. I helped her sit up a bit as she rubbed he eyes. She took the pizza and leaned against my shoulder. We ate and watched some T.V. After the pizza was gone, (y/n) fell asleep again. Her head rested on my shoulder as one of her legs hung off the couch. I fixed her to a comfortable position so her head now rested on my chest and both her legs on the couch.
"Good night, Danny." she whispered.
"Good night." I whispered back.
