It's been about a week since the three of us took (y/n) to the hospital. Everyday after school, I visit her. I bring her flowers and sit and talk to her. She might not be able to hear me, but it's worth a shot. I felt so stupid for not telling the difference between a ghost and my actual girlfriend. Looking back at it now, I can spot some slight differences. At school, it was like she never existed. Everyone knew she was in the hospital but they ignored it. No teachers called her name when taking roll and no one spoke about it.
On Friday, I decided to stay longer with (y/n). My parents knew where I'd be and Jaz would check up me from time-to-time. I walked into the hospital and asked to see (y/n). A nurse showed me to her room even though I knew where it was. I thanked the nurse anyway and sat by (y/n)'s bedside.
"Hey, (y/n), it's me again." I say. The girl laid on her stomach beathing slowly. "I know I say this a lot, but I really am sorry. I know you'd say that it wasn't my fault and that I shouldn't blame myself, but I am and it is." I sigh knowing she won't reply. At least not until she wakes up. The doctors had told me that she was tired physically and mentally. Whatever happened may have caused her some mental fatigue or something. Luckily, she only had two degree burns that may leave scarring but it won't be that bad. There were no other signs of injury.
"You know how much I love you, right? I remember when I first saw you on your first day in Casper High," I chuckle, "you seemed so shy and yet you got me to ditch school with you." I look at the sleeping girl again and smile.
"Hello, excuse me?" I was startled by the feminine voice behind me. I looked back to see a girl with brown hair and blue eyes. She wore a light grey crop top and denim jeans with blue converse. "I'm sorry if I interrupted anything, I just wanted to see if you were ok? And if you knew where the nearest fast food place is? I'm fairly new to this city, so I don't really know where anything is."
"I'm fine. Umm... well there's a Nasty Burger about 5 blocks from here."
"Great, thanks!" she said cheerfully and walked away, but soon came back just to say, "I'm Ellie. Ellie Gregory."
"Danny Fenton." I reply. Ellie smiled again and left.
After my encounter with Ellie, I continued my conversation with (y/n). I started dozing off a bit due to the one-sided converation. About an hour later, Ellie came back and appearantly got me something. I didn't even expect to see her again let alone her bring me something.
"I just thought that you may not have eaten before you arrived and it looked like you were going to stay a while." she told me as I took the bag.
"Thanks, but you didn't have to."
"That's fine. I wanted to." We shared a smile before it got a little quiet. "Who is she?" Ellie asked looking at the sleeping girl.
"My girlfriend."
"I'm sorry. What happened?"
"I don't know. All I know is that it was my fault she got hurt."
"I'm sure it really isn't." There was a moment we took a bite from the burger or drank some soda.
"If you don't mind me asking, you are you visiting?" I asked after I swallowed my food. Ellie seemed like a really nice girl and she was very easy to talk to. Before Ellie could answer, I heard groans coming from (y/n). I immediately rushed over to her and held one of her hands. I whispered for her not to move or she'd hurt herself. (y/n) stopped and her eyes fluttered open. I was so happy she was awake now. I felt like crying. Ellie stood up and started to walk out of the room saying, "I'll leave you two alone." I thanked Ellie for keeping me company this past half hour. The brunette smiled and left the room.
"D-Danny..." (y/n) said.
"I'm right here. I am never leaving you again." I squeezed her hand a little bit tighter. A nurse walked in and separated us. The nurse checked everything to see if (y/n) was in a stable condition. Aside from the still-healing burns on her back, (y/n) was completey fine. She was able to go home in about a day or so, depending on how the burns looked by then.
I called Sam and Tucker and told them that (y/n) woke up. The both rushed over and found her lying on her stomach and me sitting by her side with our hands tangled together. I didn't want to question (y/n) without Sam and Tucker hence the reason I called them.
"What happened? How did you end up in the ghost zone?" Tucker asked.
"After Danny got a 9-1-1 from Tucker, I was sneaking around as payback for sneaking around my house when we first met. I found the basement and saw this giant dreamcatcher thing. Next thing I know, I'm looking at myself and tossed into the ghost zone gagged and tied up."
"Amorpho. He took her form and pretended to be her." I say.
"Walker found me outside the gates of his prison. I was taken in and left in a nice room while he came to get the ghost. I asked to speak with Ember and sh--"
"Ember McLain!?" Tucker and Sam said at the same time. (y/n) nodded. She explained that they were friends. How and why were a different story for another time. (Y/n) continued to explain all that happened while in the prison. She said she was only thinking of getting home.
"You could've just waited until Walker came back and set you free." Sam said.
"And how long would that take? Sure catching the ghost would be the easy part, but how long until he'd set me free? He's not a very nice guy, you know?"
"All, I'm saying is that this could've been avoided if you'd just stay put." Sam crossed her arms.
"I was thinking about Danny! You would've done the same thing too, and don't even try to deny it!" (y/n) winced. The yelling must've hurt her.
"Ladies, calm down." Tucker said. By now, visiting hours over. I kissed (y/n)'s forhead and promised to be back first thing in the morning. She smiled and mouthed "Ok." Sam, Tucker, and I left.
As I was walking down my street, my ghost senses went off. I was ready for a fight if necessary. I transformed and looked around for anysigns of ghosts.
"Danny, it's me." said a small feminine voice. I knew the voice. It was so familiar.
