" Idk what you doing , but me & Jazz going to a movie, she said with sass
" Okay , what y'all going to see ?" I asked trying to hold a convo
" Look as you can see I'm trying to talk to my man so move round " she said rolling her eyes & turning her back to me
I just walked off, it was like what we had just did last night didn't even happen , I was confused , but I had no time to think about or I was gone be late to class .
" Hey girl slow down " I heard a voice say behind me
" Oh, hey Demetrius" I said stopping so he could catch up
" Damn , couldn't hit nobody up last night ?" He asked
" Sorry I got tied up at home" I lied.
" Ooo , look like y'all got a substitute , I'm skipping , come with me , let's get some food" he asked.
" I really shouldn't " I responded
" Come on, I'll have you back before next period " he pleaded.
" Ehh , okay " I said
So we left school , & went to churches fried chicken , & sat inside to eat.
" So when you gonna let me make you mines " he side biting into some chicken
" I don't wanna answer that while I'm stuffing my face with food " I joked.
" I'm being forreal , we been talking for over a month now, I'm ready for the real" he said looking in my eyes
" We have been talking for a while , so why not , we can be together " I said shyly.
" Aighttt bae " he said smiling & coming across the table for a kiss
I kissed him & then finished eating
" So what you & Mulan & Jazz did last night ? " he asked.
" How you know I was there ?" I asked
" You Umm , said it Umm earlier , when I asked why you ain't Umm text me " he stuttered
" I don't remember telling you , but nothing , we just Umm chilled " I said trying to remember when I told him about it .
" oh okay, ayo bae , it's almost time for next period, let's get back " he said nervous
" okay " I said getting up.
So we left & went back to school , & That whole ride back I was just thinking about how me & Demetrius are now officially dating . I was beyond excited. Soon as we got back to school , we hugged & parted ways to our next class. The class I had next period was History , a class with Mulan.
" hey boo !" Mulan said as I was walking in.
" sup" I said mocking her
" Girl , you ain't even gotta do all that" she said peeping what I was doing .
" Oh , now you wanna talk" I said rolling my eyes
" Babe listen , we gotta act like nothing happened & everything the same, not all buddy buddy, especially in front of my man, cause he know I was gay before we started dating " she whispered
" Ohh okay I understand" I said shaking my head in agreement .
All that day was good , Demetrius walked me to every class & held my hand to let all the others girls know I was his , he was very sweet & everyone said we was cute together, everyone liked us together except Julian. He haven't said one word to me since he found out , at lunch , he don't even speak no more.
" Hey Julian " I said walking up to him in the halls
" Wassup " he said continuing to walk away
" Well damn slow down " I said grabbing his arm
" What ?" He barked
" Just wanted to talk, we haven't spoke in a while " I responded
" Talk about what " he said rolling his eyes
" Like , How are you and Jazz?" I asked
" Broke up " he said holding his head down
" What! why ?" I asked
" Listen I gotta get to class Nicey " he said walking away .
I didn't try to catch him this time , now I understood why he was getting more distant than usual , I figured I'll start texting him so he could know I care.
Before school ended my brother texted me & said I had to walk home today , cause he was still testing in school. I was pleased , because now I'll have more time with my new man.
" Bae ?" I said walking up to Demetrius after school
" Wassup baby girl ?" He said with his sexy lips
" I need a ride home today " I said grabbing his hand
" I gotcha baby " he said kissing my hand."let's go" he said getting in the car
" Let's make a quick stop before I take you home , I'm kind of late on something " he said
" Okay, that's fine " I responded.
We pulled up at this , big white house , in the heart of the ghetto, I was kinda scared when we got here , because I still don't know Jersey like that.
"I'm gone be right back " he said kissing my cheek .
" okay "I said watching him get out the car
When he got out , he first went to the trunk & pulled out a black duffle bag , through it over his shoulder , then walked in the white house.
It's like a hour later, when I heard some cussing & banging going on , I had fell asleep , so when I heard the noise it startled me , all I saw was Demetrius jumping out of a window with now 2 duffel bags , he jumped in the car & stomped on the gas pedal so hard , I caught whiplash.
" WTF is going on !?" I yelled, putting my seat belt on.
" Nothing , you straight ?" He asked put of breath
" That wasn't nothing, tell me , I don't want any secrets in this relationship " I barked
" I just got into with one of the dudes in there , & they all tried to jump me , so I had to ditch " he said
" What's in the bags ?" I asked
" Product , now stop asking questions please, let me get my head together " he said.
" Fine , just get me home " I said aggravated
" Don't be like that " he said grabbing my hand
" I'm just confused , & tired " I said calming down
" I understand, I'm sorry bae " he said pulling up at my house .
" It's fine, so you wanna come in , my brother won't be home for another hour?" I asked .
" Hell yeah "he said getting excited.
