12- The Story

"Ma'am ?, ma'am ?, Mrs.Wilson are you alright " the doctor said waving his hand in my face.

"Oh .... I - I'm okay " I stuttered

"Well okay, here are your check out papers, & congratulations " the doctor said walking out the room.

In my head I'm thinking how am I going to tell Demetrius, Junior ,& mama . My life was over , this baby was going to ruin everything I ever worked for, one thing I did know was that Demetrius was gone stick in , he loves me. The main thing I was worried bout was mama .

"So , what they said was up ?" Junior said when he saw me walking out of the room.

"Oh... Umm , the flu " I lied

"They gave you antibiotics ?" He asked

"No , they told me to just let it run its course" I lied again.

"Okay, well I gotta get to class , you straight though ?" He asked helping me in the car.

"Yeah , I'm fine , I just need to sleep it off" I responded .

So he drove me home & dropped me off. The first thing I did was check my phone , I had miss calls & texts from Demetrius, I said his name in my phone as " 💘😍 Husband"
& his phone my name was " Wifey ❤". I called him as soon as I got settled .

Phone convo ---------------------------------------------

"Aye , girl I been trying to get you for the longest " Demetrius said Aggy

"I didn't come today, can you leave school & come to my house, I'm here alone " I said.

"Hell ya, you ain't gotta tell me twice" he said

"Just hurry " I said rolling my eyes.

End of phone convo -----------------------------------

Then I laid down & I just waited until he got here, he had pulled up in less than 20 minutes.

"Hey babe " I said opening the door.

"Wassup " he said grabbing my waist & kissing my neck.

"Demetrius stop, come in my room , we need to talk " I said pushing him off.

"Fine , Wassup ?" He said walking into my room

"So I've been sick bae , for a couple days too" I started

"Well don't sit so close " he joked.

"Come on Demetrius , be serious , so I had went to the doctor because I was so freaking dizzy " I said.

"Awe man bae, what they said was wrong ?" He responded.

"Basically , nothing , I'm healthy " I said.

"That's good then " he said.

"But , the reason I've been sick is because, I'm pregnant with our baby " I said putting out a slight smile .

"Wh - what ?" He stuttered

"We're gonna be great parents " I said grabbing his hand.

"Nah, must be a mistake " he said

"No , baby I'm sorry " I responded

"You fucking should be ! WTF I'm suppose to do with a god damn baby ?" He yelled

"I didn't do this on my own " I said starting to cry .

"Tf you crying for bruh , I gotta go , for I be late to class " he said walking out.

"So you just gone leave like WTF "I yelled

"Look , I'll call you "he said leaving .

Mad at my self I slammed the door shut & begin to cry , I didn't know how life was gonna be now that I'm gonna be a mother to a child when I'm not even done being raised, I had to think about how life was about to be a big drastic change .

"Hey , sis " my brother hollered from the living room.

"What ?" I yelled back trying to hold tears

"You okay ?" He said walking down the hall

"Yeah , I'm fine " I said wiping my face

"You don't sound like it " he said coming in my room.

"Junior, I'm just not feeling well " I said looking at him

"Man , I'm your brother , I knew you before you knew yourself , what's wrong ?, you look more stressed than sick" He said sitting
beside me.

I sat up beside him "Alright , just let me talk , don't say anything okay , & this stays between me & you " I said looking him in his eyes .

"Okay what ?" He said.

"I'm pregnant , by Demetrius " I blurted out

He looked down at me & then at my belly , then he jumped up & went to his old room.

"Junior what the hell you doing ?" I asked following him.

"I'm killing this nigga, what the fuck Nicey ! You know fucking better , Nah man , not my lil sister man , FUCK !!" he said pulling a gun out the closet .

"NOO !! Junior you can't ! Please calm down" I yelled

"Did he force you Nicey , Huh , did he ?" He asked with a tear rolling down his cheek .

"No , he didn't do anything I didn't want him too, now put the damn gun down Junior " I yelled.

"No , move the fuck out the way , stay here !" He said pushing me out the way.

"Junior Noo, listen to me , just hear me out please." I said jumping in front of the front door

"What , make it fast" he said stopping.

"This baby is unexpected, but the baby is still coming & Demetrius is still my child's father , you gotta understand this out of all people, look at me & you , we had a hard ass life growing up with out daddy, & I'm not letting my baby grow up like this , no hell " I explained .

He paused for a second .

"You told him ?" He asked

"Yes, he knows , he gone call me after school " I said .

"Shit Nicey, man you bout to break mama heart man , you know how she is" he said walking back to this room.

"That's why for right now, I just got the flu " I said following him .

"Fuck no , you bout to be a mom in 9 months , so you gotta grow the hell up fast, no lying man, you telling mama , or I am " he yelled

"Junior this to much in one day " I responded

"Should've kept your legs closed then " he said closing his room door in my face.

All the rest of that day , even when he left to go finish school , I thought about what he had said , I really should've kept my legs closed , Demetrius and I hadn't been together long at all even though we loved each other,  still we should've waited to prevent things like this from happening , and on top of that , I let him do me raw, with no condom , I felt like a dumb ass, how could I not get pregnant . I tried my hardest not to think about it because stress isn't good for the baby & right now the baby has become the center of my life forever, so he was right I did have to grow up fast.
