Quidditch World Cup

"(Y/n)! The Malfoy's are here!" Your father calls up the stairs. You run down the stairs with your backpack ready. You smile at Draco when you see him, then shake Mr. Malfoy's hand.

"Thank you so much for inviting me sir." You smile.

"You're welcome, Miss (y/n). It was Draco's idea." He replied. You saw Draco wink at you, and you smiled at him.

"Well we better get going. Bye dad!" You call to your dad. He doesn't answer you, instead talks to Mr. Malfoy about something. You roll your eyes.

"Thanks again Draco." You whisper. He smiles and nods, and the three of you walk out the door.

You soon find the portkey, and you are at the camp site outside the stadium.

"Alright (y/n), Draco will help you find your Ravenclaw friends, and I'll send him to pick you up right before we leave for the stadium. I'll go set up our tent." Mr. Malfoy says, and you go your separate ways.

"How's your mother?" Draco asks quietly. You stop walking for a second. Draco realizes your upset and places a hand on your shoulder.

"Sorry. I shouldn't have asked." He says. You shake your head.

"N-no, it's okay. I actually need someone to talk to about that, umm, no one else knows." You say sheepishly.

Draco grabs your hand and pulls you away from the crowded mess of fans, into a quiet area in the woods. You both sit down.

"My dad used the Cruciatus curse on her, right when I got your letter actually. He has done it before, like I told you. When I went to go help her the first time, he used the imperious curse on me," Draco's eyes turned to a look of concern, " and forced me to leave her alone."

"My mother has gone insane, Draco." You say, a tear rolling down your face. Draco grabs your hand once again, and wipes the tear away hesitantly.  You continue.

"Just yesterday, I realized I hadn't seen her in a while. So I went looking for her. She's locked herself in her room, she only lets Darcy, the house elf, in. When... When I knocked on her door, she started screeching something I couldn't understand, even after I said it was only me." You finally finished. You took a deep breath, trying to calm yourself, but the panic and worry and heartbreak finally got the best of you, and a loud sob escaped your lips. You covered your mouth quickly, but it didn't stop the flow of tears that followed. Draco watched in horror as your breathing turned to hiccups, and you brought your knees to your chest.

You felt ashamed, crying in front of Draco. You thought he'd laugh, or leave you in the middle of the forest. He was bound to grow tired of chasing you eventually.

But surprisingly, he pulled you close to him, and silently rubbed your back in a soothing manner.  After you calmed down and all he heard was the occasional sniffle, he spoke.

"How come you told me and not your best friends?" He asked. You sigh.

"T-they don't understand. Yes, Harry's parents are dead, but he didn't have a parent that wanted him dead. None of them have parents that... Are death eaters." You say. You slap a hand to your mouth as you say it. Draco's eyes widened.

"You can't tell anyone! My father would definitely kill me! Oh gosh I'm dead!" You panicked, standing up. Draco pulled you back down.

"I won't tell anyone, I promise. M-my... Never mind." Draco trails off. You don't pressure him into telling you.

"Well thank you Draco. But I should really get to the Weasley's." You say, standing up again. He nods silently and starts back toward the tents.

As you see the Weasley's tent, you turn to say goodbye to Draco, and to thank him again, but he's already gone.
