Chapter 21

You and Harry had a very awkward relationship now. After seeing you with Draco and hearing you dated Cedric as well, he was pretty angry. He knew he had no right to be though, so he just tried to avoid you.

The day of the third task came quickly. You sat in the stands with Hermione and Ron, who still looked very scared of you. Draco was on the other side of you, which Ron was very upset about. 

It was boring as you sat there. There was nothing to watch. Before you knew it you had fallen asleep on Draco's shoulder. But suddenly Draco shook you awake and you heard cheers. You saw Harry on the ground with Cedric.

"Hermione, look at Cedric." You said, horrified. You knew he was dead.

Tears sprung to your eyes, and Draco grabbed your hand as the rest of the crowd realized the problem.

"My son! That's my son!" Mr. Diggory's agonized cries sounded.

"He's back! Voldemort's back!" Harry sobbed. They tried dragging him away from Cedric, but he wouldn't let go. You turned away and buried your head on Draco's shoulder. You sobbed for Cedric, and you sobbed for Harry. This poor kid could never have a normal year.

Professor Moody finally dragged Harry away from the scene. Moody scared you, you didn't trust him. So you followed them, dragging Draco with you.

"I don't trust him either. He turned me into a ferret." Draco smiled, trying to get you to smile, but it didn't work.

You were originally going to watch from the door, but Moody locked it tight.

"We have to get help. I'm going to go get Dumbledore!" You said. You ran out and the only person you could get to was Snape.

"Professor Snape. Please! Moody locked Harry in a room with him. I don't trust him. Please!" You sobbed.

"I don't trust him either Miss (l/n). Lead the way." He said. You showed him the classroom, and Snape busted the door down. By now the other professors were right behind him.

"(Y/n), come on." Draco said, trying to drag you away from any danger.

"No! Harry!" You sobbed. Draco sighed.

"I'm sorry (y/n)." He said. You looked at him with a confused look.

"Petrificus Totalus!" He said, and you were frozen. You were screaming at him on the inside. But you couldn't do anything as he dragged you away.

"Okay, I know your angry. I'm going to free you now. But remember, I did this for your safety." Draco said. He reversed the spell, and you collapsed in a mess of tears.

"I'm so sorry." Draco said.

"H-Harry. Is he okay?" You asked him. Draco sighed sadly.

"Yeah, Potter's fine. I heard them give Moody veritaserum. They have things under control." He said. You nodded and leaned on his shoulder.

"(Y/n), you know I still care about you, right?" Draco said. You nodded, but stayed silently.

"And I know that you obviously care about Potter. But since your father will not allow you to see him this summer... Maybe you could... Give us a shot? Just for the summer. If you still want Potter, I'll leave you alone." Draco said. You knew he was trying to take your mind off of Cedric. It barely worked, but you humored him.
