Chapter 39: Epilogue

You became a professor at Hogwarts soon after finishing school. You took Professor Flitwicks place in Charms after he retired.

Harry visited you every weekend. You were together for two years after the war.

One day, you were getting ready to go to the Weasley's for Christmas. You got into Hogsmeade then apparated, and immediately someone had their arms around you.

"Hello Harry." You smile and return the hug. He lets go and you say hello to everyone else. Ron and Hermione had gotten engaged a few weeks ago, you were happy for them.

"Maybe Harry will finally ask you." Hermione whispers when you hug her. You roll your eyes.

"It doesn't matter." You laugh, but it really did bother you that he hasn't asked yet.

You woke up the next morning to a person hovering over you.

"Harry what on earth?" You ask groggily.

"Get up its Christmas! I have a very special gift for you!" He smiles. You roll your eyes.

"Okay okay let me get dressed." You sigh. Soon you were dressed, and you went downstairs to see Harry alone in front of the tree.

"Where is everyone?" You ask.

"Still asleep. I wanted to give you your gift in private." He says, and leads you in front of the tree. He takes your hand.

"I love you (y/n). I love you so much... a-and I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He says nervously. You smile.

He gets down on one knee, and pulls out a ring.

"Will you marry me?" He asks. You smile and let out a laugh.

"Of course." You say. He smiles.

"Yes! She said yes!" He yells. You finally notice that all of the Weasley's were awake and watching. Before you can say anything, Harry kisses you passionately.

"I love you." He says, resting his forehead on yours.

"I love you too."

17 years later

"Come on Lily! Your brothers are leaving for Hogwarts today!" You yell upstairs. You hear a groan.

"Coming." She says finally. The two boys, Albus and James, were already eating breakfast and waiting to leave.

"Harry, are you ready?" You call. Suddenly two arms are around your waist from behind.

"Yes dear." He says. You smile.

"Are you boys ready?" You say to your sons.

"Yes mom." James answers. You sigh. He was always closer to his father, and never really liked to talk to you.

"Great! How about you Albus?" You ask the young boy who was starting his first year.

"Umm... I'm really nervous." He says. Harry finally lets go of you and you hug Albus.

"Don't worry. Rose will be there too, remember? And Scorpius Malfoy is starting this year as well." You say. You hear Harry groan and you hit his arm.

"Okay mom." Albus smiles.

"Okay mom, I'm ready to go!" Lilly says.

"Alright everyone! Time to leave!" Harry says.

At Kings Cross Station you smile when you see everyone you remembered from school.

"Hello Luna!" You smile at her. She waves, then turns her attention back to her young boys.

You lost Albus and Harry somewhere, but while you were talking to Hermione, they appeared again.

"The train is leaving in two minutes!" Rose says impatiently. You smile, she is just like Hermione.

You said goodbye to Rose, then you turned to James.

"Okay James. Behave this year. And don't tease Alicia Longbottom too much." You smirk. You knew he had a huge crush on the girl.

"Okay mom. I love you." He says and hugs you tightly. Your eyes widen in surprise but you hug him back.

"I love you too." You say. He then gets on the train.

"You excited?" You say to Albus, ruffling his hair.

"Yeah!" He smiles.

"Make sure you write to me, I can't wait to hear what house you get in!" You exclaim, pulling him into a hug.

"Love you mom." He says.

"Love you too." You reply.

You wave as the train pulls out, and a few tears fall.

"Don't cry mommy." Lilly says. You smile.

"It's okay. I'm just gonna miss your brothers. How about we go get icecream with Hugo!" You say to her. She smiles then runs off to find Hugo, Hermione's youngest son.

"You okay?" Harry asks. You nod.

"I love you." You say, hugging him.

"I love you too." He answers.
