Ron and Harry were very angry at each other. Ron wouldn't speak to Harry, and he didn't believe that Harry didn't put his name in.
Hermione hung out with Ron, and you tried to be there for Harry. But he didn't seem to want to talk to you.
"Harry, I believe you! Please talk to me!" You finally said one day as Harry stormed away from you. He didn't even look back.
You sighed and went to find Ron.
"(Y/n)! My brother, Charlie, is here. Do you want to meet him?" Ron said. You smiled and followed him.
You gasped when you saw 4 dragons. They looked angry.
"This is the first task!?" You exclaim. Ron nods.
"Don't worry. I'm going to tell Hagrid to tell Harry. That way I'm helping, but I don't have to speak to him." Ron says. You roll your eyes.
"Hey Ron! Who's the girl?" A man with red hair comes up. You assumed it was Charlie.
"This is my friend (y/n). Just wanted to introduce you." Ron says. You hold your hand out to Charlie, and he shakes it.
"Well nice to meet you, (y/n). I better get back to the dragons, see you! Have fun with her Ron!" He winks, then runs off. You gasp as Ron turns bright red.
"S-sorry about him. He doesn't think before he speaks..." Ron laughs awkwardly. You crack up and so does he as you walk back towards the castle.
You liked talking to Ron. There was no awkwardness like there was with Harry or Draco.
"So (y/n), we've all been worried about you." Ron says suddenly. Your eyebrows furrow as you wait for him to continue.
"Well, for one, at the Quidditch cup that night, you freaked out. And you not once complained about Draco, which is very unusual for you. And you also panicked when Moody taught about the unforgivable curses. Are you okay?" Ron asks. You hesitate, then smile.
"Yeah, sorry about that... Just a... Um... Just some Anxiety issues I have." You lie. You decide to ignore the thing about Draco.
Ron didn't seem to believe you but he didn't say anything else, which you were thankful for.
~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~
The night before the first task, you were tossing and turning in your bed. You heard Cho sigh.
"(Y/n). Stop worrying. It will be okay." She said. You felt bad for keeping everyone awake.
"Sorry." You answer. She doesn't reply.
You were wide awake. Harry still didn't seem to want to speak to you. Hermione didn't understand, because Harry was still talking to her.
Ron suspected he was feeling guilty about lying. But you knew that wasn't it.
As hard as you tried, you couldn't decide why he was so angry at you.
You didn't sleep at all that night. The next morning you got out of bed and dressed as quickly as you could. You ran down to the arena where the first task was going to take place.
Because you were up and ready so early, you were the first one there. You claimed a seat, then watched for Harry. You wanted to talk to him before the task started.
You saw him walking slowly by himself towards the arena. There was still no one else there, so you ran towards him.
"Harry!" You called. He looked up, surprised hat someone had beaten him there. You were running full speed towards him, and tacked him in a tight hug.
"I'm sorry. Whatever I did I'm sorry. I'm so worried about you." You cried. Harry hesitantly rubbed your back soothingly.
"It's okay. I wasn't mad at you, I was just taking out my anger on you. I'm so sorry." He said, finally holding you tighter. You cried in his shoulder, practically suffocating him for a few minutes. You pulled apart when you heard a camera shutter. A blonde reporter was smiling widely.
"Ah, young love!" She cooed. Then she got bored and walked away.
"Please be safe." You said to Harry. You kissed him on the cheek, then went back to your seat.
Hermione met you right before the task started. She laughed as she explained that Rita Skeeter had caught her hugging Harry, and accused Harry of cheating.
You barely payed attention as the first three fought their dragons. When it was Harry's turn, you and Hermione gripped each others hands tightly. You cheered when Harry finally got the egg, and the second you were allowed, you ran to him.
"You were brilliant." You smiled as you hugged him. Then he was pulled into the Gryffindor common room. You sighed and went back to your common room.
"Hello (y/n)" you heard. You turned and saw Cedric Diggory.
"Oh, Um... Hi Cedric." You said awkwardly. You had no idea why he was talking to you.
"I was wondering if you'd like to accompany me to Hogsmeade on the next trip." He asked. Your eyes widened.
"Umm..." You hesitated. Cedric was 3 years older then you, and super handsome. Why didn't he find someone his own age.
"I know I've never talked to you before, but I think you're beautiful." He said, taking a step closer to you.
You backed up."I don't know you..." You started, but Cedric had you backed up against the wall. For a Hufflepuff, he didn't really seem to regard your feelings very well.
"Then why don't you accompany me to Hogsmeade, and we can get to know each other better." He smiled. You had to admit he was attractive, but he was also scaring you a bit.
"Cedric I'm flattered but-"
"Great. Meet me in the courtyard before we leave." He smiled, and walked away.
What the heck?
