Chapter 35

Weeks passed, and Harry was super awkward around you. Hermione had told you he had kissed Ginny, and he knew that you knew.

You spent most of your time with Draco.

It was almost the end of the school year. Classes were over for the day, and Harry was no where to be found.

"(Y/n)! Have you seen Harry?" Hermione caught up to you, Ron trailing behind.

"No, I thought he was with you." You say. Hermione groans.

"He's probably with Dumbledore." She sighs, and walks away. Ron waves at you, then follows. Apparently he and Lavender had broken up.

You ran to the room of Requirement. As soon as you walked in, you knew something was wrong.

"(Y/n)! Get out!" Draco panics. You back up as you see the cabinet shaking violently.

"Draco you didn't!" You yell. He looks ashamed, but pulls you over to an old wardrobe.

"Get in. Don't leave until I come get you." He says, and pushes you in before you can protest.

Soon you hear voices, one of them was your father's.

They leave the room and you wait in silence for Draco to come get you. But 20 minutes later, you were still in the closet!

You walked out, deciding to ignore Draco's orders. It was eerily silent in the school. You walked to the astronomy tower, and gasped when you were pulled underneath some stairs.

You panicked and kicked the person, but calmed down when you saw it was Harry. He pointed up, where you noticed a crying Draco, threatening Dumbledore. You watch in horror, and through the floor, Draco's eyes meet with yours. You watch in horror as suddenly Snape takes over, and kills Dumbledore.

Harry runs to go fight before you could stop him. Draco runs down to you, making sure none of the death eaters follow.

"I told you to wait for me to come get you!" He sobs, placing a hand under your chin gently. He was shaking and crying, you could feel the fear and regret that he was feeling.

"Y-you left me alone for too long. I just thought you forgot." You whisper, tears brimming in your own eyes. Draco wraps his arms around you and hugs you tightly. You hug him back, and don't say anything as he cries.

"Thank Merlin I saw you. I was going to do it, but then I saw you a-and I c-couldn't." Draco says. You smile sadly.

"But Dumbledore is still gone... oh no." You gasp as the seriousness of what had just happened finally dawned on you.

"Go. I can't come, Harry would've told everyone by now." Draco smiles sadly. You kiss him on the cheek in a friendly way and turn to leave, but stop when you hear voices.

"Dracy! Mummy wants you home soon!" Bellatrix calls. Your eyes widen, she was really close. Draco grabs your arm and pulls you behind him because there was nothing else to do.

"Bella, he probably ran off." You jump when you hear the low voice. It was your dad.

"D-Draco..." you panic. He looks around quickly.

"There's nothing we can do. I-I'm sorry..." he says shakily. He was right. The only way out was towards them, and there was no where to hide.

"There you- oh! Do you have a girlfriend now?" Bellatrix says, finally finding Draco. Your father comes in behind her, and immediately raises his wand.

"Avada Kedavra!" He bellows, but Draco blocks it.

"Stop! Yes, she's my girlfriend auntie. I love her." Draco says. You don't protest because you knew this was the only chance you had to survive.
