The first meeting of the DA was amazingly fun. Harry taught everyone Expelliarmus, and you were partnered with Neville.
"Expelliarmus!" Neville said. Your wand shook, but remained in your hand.
"You're closer Neville!" You encouraged. Neville sighed.
Harry avoided you completely. He came over to Neville once to help him, but didn't even bother to watch if you could do it too. You could, obviously, but Harry didn't seem to care.
He was also all over Cho...
Soon Harry dismissed everyone. You walked out with Hermione.
"He's really angry, still!" You groan. She sighs.
"He has to get over it eventually. Are you spending Christmas with the Weasley's?" Hermione asks. You nod.
"Good, so is he." She says.

It was the last meeting before Christmas. You all had to be extra careful now, because of Umbridge's Inquisitorial Squad.
"Think of the happiest memory you have." Harry explained how to produce a patronus.
You wracked your brain for a happy memory.
And then you remembered the necklace Harry gave you.
It wasn't really just one memory that you used, it was all of your happy memories with Harry.
"Expecto Patronum!" You say, and out of your wand comes a beautiful white doe. You smile in delight at your success.Harry stared for a moment, then pretends he didn't notice.
And then it clicks...
Harry's patronus is a stag.

"Okay, I'll see you all after break!" Harry dismisses. You start to walk out, then realized you forgot your books.
You walk back in.
"Sorry Harry, forgot my-" and you stop suddenly.
There's Harry, under the mistletoe...
Kissing Cho.
You pull off your necklace angrily and throw it on the floor, tears blurring your vision.
Harry's such a jerk!
You forget your books and run out of the room, slamming the door behind you. You run past a concerned Hermione, and a very confused Ron.
You didn't know where to go. You didn't want to go to your dormitory, because you knew Cho would be there soon.
So you ran to the library, and into the back of the restricted section, where no one ever really goes.
You tried very hard not to make any noise as you cried. You didn't want to be found.
"Where'd she go?" You hear someone walk into the library. You silently hope the librarian got the point that you wanted to be alone, and didn't point to you.
"Ron, why don't we just go talk to Harry. It obviously had something to do with him. Plus, (y/n) left her books in the Room of Requirement." Hermione says. You silently thank the librarian, and they walk out.

It was finally Christmas. You still hadn't spoken to anyone about what happened. Hermione and Ron tried to get you to talk, but you acted like nothing happened.
It was awkward as you, Harry, Sirius, and the Weasley's sat at the table for Christmas dinner. Poor Mr. Weasley had been injured, and Ron promised he'd explain later. You hadn't heard what happened yet.
Sirius kept glaring at you, and you were growing increasingly uncomfortable. You knew that Harry had been talking bad about you.
Ron noticed you weren't eating, and that Sirius was staring you down.
"Mum I'm going to show (y/n) something." Ron says, then grabs your arm and drags you upstairs.
"What Ron?" You sigh, exasperated.
"Soo... I know you keep denying that anything happened, but I have to tell you something." Ron says. You roll your eyes.
"What then?" You snap. He takes a deep breath, then explains.
"Harry doesn't regret it. He was happy about kissing her." Ron says. You don't answer, feeling tears sting the back of your eyes.
"Kissing who?" You croak, trying to keep up your act. Ron groans.
"(Y/n) come on! You can't keep denying it! You've been so depressed, and I know it's not just about Harry. I know you're upset about your mother and Darcy, and the whole thing with Draco, and you're scared of you're father. But we're trying to help and your not making it easy!" Ron exclaims. You sigh.
"Sorry." Is all you say, as a tear finally falls.
Ron sighs, then leaves to go back downstairs.
You sit alone in your bedroom. But soon you hear someone else come upstairs. Your door opens.
"(Y/n), I think I should talk to you." A voice says. You look up to see Sirius.
"Um... Okay..." You say. You know he's going to start scolding you.
"Harry is so wrong." He laughs. You look up at him in surprise.
"W-what?" You ask. You didn't think you heard him correctly.
"He told me everything. But I think he got angry because his emotions are connected to Voldemort's. I don't believe he really hates you." Sirius says.
"Then why do you keep glaring at me?" You ask, frustrated. He smiles sadly.
"Because I want to believe Harry. I want to be there for him when there are bad people in his life. I have to protect him. But I don't need to protect him from you. I think he loves you." Sirius says, then leaves you alone.
You decide you were done crying pathetically. So you go downstairs and find Harry.
"I need to talk to you." You say, and he looks up at you in surprise.
"Fine." Harry says indifferently, and follows you into another room.
"I'm sorry. For lying to you, for everything. But I'm going to be honest, I think you overreacted." You confront. Harry doesn't answer.
"A-and if you want to be with Cho, t-that's fine. But I still want to be your friend." You continue shakily. It wasn't fine, you were lying. But you missed talking to Harry, even if he was just a friend.
"I do, I want to be with Cho." Harry says. Your heart shatters again, but you nod. Stupid Sirius, giving you false hope.
"And are we friends?" You manage to say. He nods.
"Sure. Friends." Harry says, and reaches out to shake your hand, places something in it when you accept, then walks out.
You open your hand and see the necklace that you had thrown.
