The blonde dragged me by the hand, excited to show me around. I marveled at the size of his home, wondering what he was filling the space with.

“This is the computer room.” He, the brand new tour guide, explained.

“Ah, very nice!” I started walking around the room, touching the top of a chair in front of the large computer module. “You’re already more successful than I ever was!”

“This is nothing. Do you hear that sound?” He pointed to the ceiling.

I listened closely to hear a low humming sound. “The hum? Yeah.”

“Do you know what that is?” He questioned, smirking.

  “No… What is it?”

“What d’ya say we go take a look.” He began walking over to a blue item I’d never seen before. When his foot hit the pressure plate beside it, he vanished in a swirl of blue dots.

Teleporters? Oh, how clever… Blinded by my impressment, I stepped onto the pressure pad Duncan had only seconds before, and vanished through a blue swirl.

“I’m so happy to see you!” Rythian exclaimed, pulling away from me.

“Me too, I’ve never seen you so happy.” I answered, repeating his excitement.

“I really do wonder how you came back, though.” He commented, locking eyes with me.

“Well, if you must…” I rolled my eyes playfully, breathing in to start my story. “I don’t really remember much, only the main points. So anyway, after I died, I found myself above the clouds. It was pretty cool, but I was confused, because I felt just fine, but I remembered all the pain I had endured only what felt like seconds before.”

The look on the mage’s face said it all for him. I knew he was saying, “Mm-hmm, and then what?”

I answered his head nodding. “Then I looked over the edge of the cloud and saw this castle.”

“Wait, so you could see the world?”

“Yeah, it was pretty strange, but that’s what happened. Anyway, after that, I met up with my sister.”

I was amazed by the number of extraordinary things the scientist owned. The low humming sound turned out to be a large sorting system, about three times the size of the one I had.

When we finally made it to the end of the tour, Lalna turned to me. “Any questions?”

“Did you change, like a lot?” I inquired, interested as to why he was so cheery. About ten years ago, when I first met him, he was very laid back and to himself; very independent.

“A little, why?” He returned my question with another, moving slightly closer to me and smiling.

  “I don’t know, but I love it.”

“Do you? ‘Cause this isn’t really my normal expression.” He pointed to his face with his index finger.

“It’s not, is it? Then what is the real Duncan?” I pounded his name proudly, trying to sound like he was supreme.
