Family getaway

"Mom, please... please... please let me invite Jade." Rosie was already on her knees begging in front of Clarke.

"Are you sure her dads will think it's okay?" Lexa asked across the kitchen island.

"Yes. They're amazing. If I ask and they say yes then can she come?"

"Clarke? It's not that big of a deal. It will give us time to get to know the girl Rose spends so much time with." Lexa shrugged.

"Lexa-" Clarke got cut off.

"We can go do a real planned family trip next month. I promise. This is just so we can all just take some time to relax. We all need it." Lexa gave a convincing smirk.

"Fine, but you still owe me that bath, Alexandra Woods." Clarke pointed to her wife with a high eyebrow.

"Yes! Thank you mom(s)!" Rose ran off with her phone ready to call her girlfriend.

"You know we are getting closer to a serious relationship with that one, right?"

"Yes I know." Lexa stepped to her wife with arms around her lower back.

"She can get her heart broken. She's still so young."

"I know."

"And you're willing to let all the progress with creating a beautiful child go so she can take a chance with some girl?"

"Abigail let you. Didn't she?"

"Yes, but that's different."

"How so?"

"Well Jade likes her back."

"I see... so you think that because I didn't like you the same time you liked me that that's why Abigail let you have your crush well allowing you to spend the night amongst other things?"

"That's exactly right."

"Well she knew I liked you some time after we turned 10 years old so all those times you still came over how are you going to explain that?" Lexa smiled.

"Well she knew that I was oblivious about your feelings well already dealing with my own that I didn't understand."

"I don't think you were. I think you saw it sometimes the way I looked at you when I tried to suppress it. I think you felt my eyes starring at you. You just didn't want to believe that one day you might be able to get what you've wanted since you were young."

"I don't know what you're talking about." Clarke walked away out of her wife's grasp. "Twins! Are you all packed?"

"Yes, mommy. Got my camper boots!" Aden posed.

"Why can't we go somewhere warm and beautiful away from bugs."

"Because your mother is very annoying and likes nature."

"Okay. Jade is officially coming with us. Her fathers were very supportive. They had a trip planned themselves. Jade was going to stay with her nanny. So it all worked out."

"Oh great..." Clarke forced a smile.

"So Jade. How did you get to be your father(s) daughter?"

"Mom!" Rosie said low and embarrassed.

"Clarke." Lexa spoke in the same tone as her daughter.

"What? It's a simple question. I'm sure she knows how we came across all of you kids. I'm sorry, Jade. I didn't mean to say it with any disrespect, sweetheart."
