The World I Live In

What's Right

I was taught to speak right, act proper, and do what I was told.
Though the right word,
The right manners,
The commands I'm given,
Aren't right at all.
I now speak strong words softly,
Act like nothing's wrong,
And bring about every cruel demand,
Because that's what I was taught.
To not have a mind for yourself
Let society have a mind for you.
