Humanity,
Where has it gone?
Where is the one thing that binds us all hiding?
With kids on the street crying,
As the poor are dying,
Because the rich at to busy buying the world to save it.
Where has our humanity gone?
Police brutality,
No more morality,
Racist extremity,
What a monstrosity,
Forget about prosperity,
As ones with a disability or who are a minority,
Are flooded with insecurity,
Since equality without humanity is an impossibility.
No more sincerity or unity,
Oh how much more tragedy and fatality,
Before we get over our absurdity,
And at least try to find humanity!
If Humanity is hiding,
It's probably hiding from us.
The ones who cause a ruckus,
Because we can't focus,
On the basics,
Of not being villainous,
It's really no wonder humanity wants a hiatus,
From all of our barbarous ways.
What's sad is we don't even realize humanity has gone away,
Leaving us to waste,
With nothing but a bittersweet taste,
Of what was once in place,
When hate didn't run awry,
And leave us wondering why,
Why do we stand by,
Waiting for humanity to die.
No wonder it hides.
I'd be afraid of our lies,
And actions that horrify too.
Instead of asking where humanity hides.
We should probably remember exactly why,
It'd be shy.
Hopefully then we'd realize.
That our hearts are blind.
Humanity left,
Because humanity can't survive when love is dead.
So instead of asking where humanity went,
We should try to get it back,
By loving one another again.
