In-Between

I'm not a genius,
But I'm not an idiot.
I'm no celebrity,
But my name is not forgotten.
I'm not a star player,
But I'm not a benchwarmer.
I'm no saint,
But I'm not evil.
What am I,
A number on a line between this and that?
A person caught in-between,
Who's not much of anything.
Not the best,
Not the worse.
Not rich,
Not poor.
So in the end am I something less,
Or more?
