I do not know how to feel
I know the world runs on love.
I know compassion is the hidden backbone of humanity.
These are the things I know,
These are the things I hope.
But these aren't the things I see.
In only see a world where lasting relationships are a rarity,
And love only blinds thee to thy true enemy.
I only see a world where divorce reigns,
And staying together remains a fantasy.
The world is being brightened by this blind hope,
And so it is also being killed by its hidden reality.
Love is a fool's gold,
And true love is merely a lucky man's miracle.
