Words can leave you shattered,
Words can leave you bruised,
Words can lead you to do,
Things that'll haunt you.
In the same way,
Words can save you,
Before they break you.
They can get you farther in life,
Than your legs ever will.
Words can make you cry,
Whether in despair or joy,
Depends on who you listen to.
So use your own words,
But don't forget to listen.
They might sometimes be harsh,
But they can be a beauty too.
