Interview

It was 630 in the morning. I had to meet Larry at his place. I was kinda nervous and at the same time excited. I picked out my outfit for today.

I picked a black long v neck sleeve shirt, my cowgirl tuff dark denim blue jeans and my tony lamas square toed boots. I left my hair down. Mainly I dressed like my casual self. It was 8 am. 'dam it takes me a hour and a half to get ready' I thought.

After a finally touch up, I was out the door. I took my truck to his place. I drive a 2012 2500 4x4 Dodge Cummins Dually. It was my only transportation. Larry's place was not very far from campus. It was like a 15 minute drive.

He had a nice place. Reminds me of my dads place back in New Mexico. This guy must rodeo for living. He had a indoor arena, with bucking chutes. Larry must be a bronc rider or BullRider one of the two or maybe both. I drove up to his house and it was a nice house.

I knocked on the door and some girl answered it.

*G=Girl J=Jade*

G: Hi there. Can I help you?

J: Hi. my name is Jade. I called

yesterday for that job offer.

G: oh. yes.. ummm. Larry should be back in a bit. he went to go put the cattle in the pasture. Till then why don't you come in.

J: Ok.. thanks.

I was roaming around the living room. I was looking at the pictures on the wall. This guy has a bunch of pictures of him riding bulls. Some from PBR events and PRCA events. But there wasn't no name printed at the bottom. I recognized a few places. Like the Thomas and Mac, AT&T Center, The Pit, and Madison Square Garden. I was about to name the next place when I heard a voice.

*L=Larry J=Jade*

L: Hello, I'm Larry and you must be Jade.

J: (turns around) H...h..hello y...yes i..I'm Jade.

'Oh my god it's LJ JENKINS' I thought.

L: why don't we sit down over here.

J: uuuh... sure!

L: (smiles) so tell me about yourself Jade.

J: well I'm a college student. Been going to school for 3 yrs now. I'm on the rodeo team. I'm originally from New Mexico. I'm the youngest out four children.. I'm 21 yrs. old. I was raised on a ranch..

L: excuse me for interrupting.. but what part of New Mexico are you from?

J: Mauelito... it's on the borderline of New Mexico and Arizona. That's where my dad is from.

L: Oh. I'm from New Mexico myself.. from Texico to be exact. So tell me... what can you do?

J: Pretty much anything.. branding, ear tagging, castrate, herd, drive tractor, give shots, haul cattle, feed, water.. and etc.

'dam this is girl is the whole package' Larry thought.

L: wow! is there any particular price range you were thinking of..

J: well.. maybe at least 150 to 200... A week..

L: Hmmm.. i'll tell you what.. I've got a guest house and a extra pin for your horses. I'll give you the 150 a week..

J: Hmm.. Deal!

L: Great.. you can start tomorrow. If that's alright with you.

J: Sure.. oh just so you know I have class all afternoon on Tuesdays and Thursdays.. but whatever needs to be done I can take care of it in the morning.

L: That's fine... you can move in today if you like.

J: Alright.... thank you mr. Jenkins.

L: no problem.. see you this evening..

J: Ok.. I better get going.. so I can pack and get everything ready.

I had smile that was from ear to ear! I couldn't believe that I was working for LJ Jenkins!! I drove up to the campus.. Went to my dorm and packed what I needed. Then drove to the barn to pick up my boys. I was stoked that I got the job.. After I packed up everything I was off to LJ's house...
