Dinner

I let him drive. Normally I don't let anyone drive my truck. Since he knows where all the good places to eat I let LJ drive. We pulled up to a small diner. I ordered myself a burger and a sweet tea. We sat there eating and sharing stories. Until he popped the question "Jade will you go out with me" he asked. He was adorable. Held my hand when he asked and I looked into his eyes and said 'yes'!

His face lit up like the fireworks on Fourth of July! Hahaha... after we shared a celebration kissed. Christen walked through the door. Of all the dam diners and restaurants in this town it had to be this one.

She walked over. "so it is true"! she yelled. "Yeah it is" LJ said. "why would care.. you did the cheating" LJ said. She just gave us a ugly look. Being the smart ass I am I just smiled and waved. She walked off. "How can you not be bothered by what just happened" he asked. "I don't know.. I'm just not the control freak here." I said plainly. "Well there's a plus. She's always been a control freak. I can never be myself when I'm around her. When I'm around you, I can be myself. I know I only known you for couple of days but I do enjoy being around you" he said. "Oh really? well if you must know I also enjoy being around you" I said calmly. "mind if I ask you something" he asked. "Shoot" "what made you want to be who are today" "what do mean" I asked. "what led you to the career you want to achieve and why didn't you just went straight out on the rodeo road. I've seen the way you rope. People with that kind of talented should consider making a living with it. Not many people can swing a rope. But you it seems like it came naturally " " well for starters I grew up around rodeo. When I was about thirteen I knew what I wanted to do. I went to the rodeo in Omaha one year. I went behind the bucking chutes. I saw these group of people helping these cowboys back there. I wanted to be one of them when I grow up. So ever since then I put my mind to where I want to accomplish my goals." "Wow... you are something. it's pretty cool that you had your goals set at the age of thirteen. I never really payed to much attention to what I want to accomplish till high school rolled around. I wanted to ride bulls for a living. I enjoy doing what I love." " Nice. I wouldn't mind rodeo'n for a living it's just that I wanted to continue my school. Rodeo will always be there. But once I found out I got accepted here on a full ride rodeo scholarship, I was happy. I can go to school and at the same time I can also rodeo. Its basically a dream come true" " I have never met anyone that held their stuff together like you. Right now you've proved me wrong" he said. "really? what did you have in mind" I asked curiously. "first of all... I thought you were this girl who basically wanted to be around me because I ride bulls for living" "oh no... I'm no buckle bunny. haha. when I called I didn't even know it was you from the start. I was shocked to find out it was you. But I do enjoy being around you. I'm glad I got to meet the real side of you" I said calmly. " hahaha..... thanks! I think we should get going it's getting late" LJ said. "Yeah we should" I said.

He paid for dinner when I offered to pay for my own. The drive home was silence but not a awkward one. We held hands on the way home. I'm glad it was late because I was blushing madly.

When we arrived back home, he walked me to the door. Before he walked off I asked him if he would like to spend the night. He agreed. I thought he was gonna go home and change but apparently not. I went into the bathroom to change into my basketball shortcuts and my relentless tank top. I walked out, he was only in his boxers! 'Oh my god, a half naked LJ is laying in my bed' I thought.

"So. what do you wanna do" he asked. " I guess we can watch a movie and cuddle" "sounds great" he said. "why don't you choose" I tell him. "alright" and what movie he picks is '8 seconds' but I don't blame him, this movie is awesome.

Once the movie started I cuddled up next to him. I felt safe being in his arms. I don't know how I'm gonna break it to him when I tell him I never had a boyfriend before.

*LJ's POV*

Jade is something else. When we talked at the diner, she opened up. I also did myself. Im glad to have her part of my life. I couldn't ask for a better night than this. We were watching a movie, till I saw her fast asleep. I turned off the tv and kissed her forehead. Quietly said 'good night'. She slept so peaceful and adorable. After a few minutes of staring at her sleeping, I fell asleep myself.
