Taking Thomas and Chris with Matthew and me, Morgan leads us to a small group of escaped resistors who are circled around something in the dirt. I walk forward with the leader and see that they have a soldier from the enemy side tied up and gagged, and with all the people around him he looks frightened and scared. Morgan says that he wants me to talk to him and make him tell us what the psycho has planned for when the resistance reaches the inner city.

"I don't think I can, Morgan. What if he doesn't know anything? What if we find out that their leader doesn't even know we're marching to the city?" I ask as the soldier looks up at me with remorse showing in his light grey hues. Morgan tells me that we can't leave with the resistance until we know what is going on within the city.

Dropping my head and shaking it lightly, I crouch down and untie the cloth from the soldiers mouth. He starts rambling about his life and his family and tells me that their leader with kill all of us and anyone part of the resistance. One of the resistors takes out a gun and places it to the side of his head, making him stop talking and shut his eyes tightly.

"I really don't want to hurt you so can you please just answer my questions and we let you go?" He nods his head as his eyes open and he looks at me. "Is the city heavily guarded? Is there a way in without anymore people dying? And who's your leader? The one who's been making all the plans."

"Our majesty placed drones outside the perimeter just this morning. She's being cautious about anyone getting into her city. The guards change every five hours and you can get in at the major gate that controls who goes in and out. Though you only have a couple of minutes to do so," he says hesitating on my last question. I ask him again and he looks down at his combat boots. "Our majesty doesn't go by a name. We do not speak of her like that. But she'll do anything to keep people from taking what she made. Please, let me go and I won't tell anyone of what I said."

"Thank you." Standing up, I turn to look at Morgan who has a gun pointed at the soldier. I try to stop him but the trigger is already released by the time I get a hand placed on the gun. Matthew pushes through the group to stare at the now dead soldier and see me pull the weapon out of Morgan's hand. "He was innocent! He did nothing wrong! How could you do this?!"

"You must know that we can't trust anyone from the other side. Penny would have done the same," the brunette said as I shoved the gun into his chest and stormed out of the circle with Matt on my heels. I couldn't understand how Morgan could do this. He was the one that wanted peace but you can't get peace by killing people for doing the wrong thing. I had thought he was the right person to follow during these times of hardships; I might be wrong.

"Dominic, please stop and let's talk." Turning around I fold my arms over Matthew's back and envelope him in a tight hug. I catch him off guard and he stumbles as he places his hands on the small of my back, whispering in my ear. "I want to believe that what he did was right but I see that it was just as wrong as what has been happening around us. You aren't the only one stunned by Morgan's actions. Please just calm down and come back to the group. We'll be leaving soon."

"Matt..." I start as I pull back and look at his sunken facial features. "Why do you even try with me?"

"Because you care for me just as much as I care for you."
