chapter 21: finding Caine

Your pov

I left thw building and looked at Raven who almost ran into me. My eyes watched him before I spoke. "Did he mention where he was staying?" I asked, I watched as he stiffened slightly.

"N-no. He didn't mention." Raven said nervously,  his eyes moving away from mine.

This made me scowl, I crossed my arms. "Don't lie to me. Where is he staying?" I said, my eyes narrowing at him.

"He's staying in a small village away from the hidden leaf. But, I would suggest that you don't go. H-he might kill you. It's dangerous, let me go in your place!" He said in panic.

Frowning at this point I shook my head at him. "I'm going. It means nothing when the leader of our clan stays away and sends someone else." I said my eyes watched him before I went to go and pack my stuff. Raven stood in shock for a few moments before he went after me.

I walked home and right pass Naruto, who was about to knock on the door. I went to my room amd opened the door before I packed a bag. I brought my weapons, scrolls and clothes. Then I turned around and seen Naruto standing there.

"Hey Naruto." I said as I looked at him.

He gave a grin before he spoke. "Are you going somewhere? Is it a secret mission? Can I come?" He asked the questions.

I smiled and shook my head. "No secret missions today. I'm going to a small village to make a deal for my clan. Amd if you want. I'm going to need you to leave so I can change though." I said and pushed him out. Then, I changed into my anbu uniform and pulled my mask on. I sighed at myself before I left my room. Naruto was standing there with a shadow clone carrying his stuff.

A smile came to my face as I watched him, my eyes then moved to Raven who was by my side. "Lets go. I want th to be quick. I'll go and tell the Hokage. Naruto, Raven wait at the front gates for me." I instructed them.  Raven looked like he was about to argue but nothing came from his mouth. Then, he obeyed and started towards the gates with Naruto.

I watched them leave before I left as well, heading to the Hokages office so i can tell him I was leaving the village with my squad of two. As i ran around the corner of a building, I ran into someone. I gasped and and caught myself before I fell. I opened my eyes to see Sasuke underneath me, a scowl on his face as he glared up at me.

He didn't seem to notice that it was me, lucky. "Sorry." I said quietly, so he could barely hear it before I continued to run. I pushed myself off of the ground and ran pass him, almost stepping on his face as I did. Then, he grabbed my leg and dragged me back. I hissed at him and pulled my leg away from him.

"I swear to God Sasuke if you don't let me go right now. I'll murder you in cold blood!" I nearly yelled at him. His grip loosened before he stood up and dusted himself off.

"(Y/n), you know, you don't really fit in the anbu. Your to loud and identity can be told just by your hair." He said to me. I was tempted to slit his throat right then and there. But, I kept it check.

"And you can be see from behind a bush! Your clothes could be seen from a mile away. But a ninja might think your duck due to your hair. You duckbutt." I hissed at him and crossed my arms after I had stood up. What I had said didn't make sense, but after mentioning his hair he seemed offended. I smirked and watched him before I closed my eyes and lifted my mask. "I have to go now. I'll see you later duckbutt." I spoke quickly.

"And where are you going?" He asked with a sigh.

"I'm going with a small squad to a village. Me being the leader of them." I said proudly.

"This isn't going to end well." Sasuke said in a mumble, his onyx eyes watched me.

I frowned, and crossed my arms. "Oh? And why is that? I think me, Naruto and Raven will do just fine. Unless you want to prove me wrong. Besides it (L/n) clan business. What could go wrong?" I asked, not expecting an answer.

He placed his hands in his pockets, then smirked at my challenge. "What could go wrong? It could be a trap. To kill the rest of the main family. You could be used for ransom. Assassinated, betrayed. Must I list more?"

I sighed. "I don't think I would be set up like that. Beisdes, I have Raven with me. And I'm part of the Anbu. And well Naruto, is uhh Naruto." I said and smiled.

"You don't see my point do you? Bring team seven with you. Me and Sakura can help. We will travel in two separate groups. One led by you. The other Led by someone else." He said.

I scoffed. "You and Naruto will spend to much time arguing. I have a deadline before my contact goes missing again. I can't let that happen. I'll bring you and that is it. Meet my by the gates as soon as possible." I said and ran off, pulling my mask on again. That took alot of time... I thought as I made some hand signs and disappeared and reappeared in the hall of the Hokages office. I went to the door and knocked. It was silent until I heard him say come in. I opened the door and bowed to him.

"My lord Hokage. I have a request." I said, looking at him, then I noticed the Kazekage. His eyes borrowed deep into mine. Making me shiver.

The Hokage smiled. "This is one of the Genin I was talking about. She will be joining the Anbu after this month. (Y/n) you may remove the mask. The Kazekage wanted to meet you." I did as told and looked at them. I was nervous now, the Kazekage was silent as he stared at me.

Then, I blurted out, "staring is rude." Without a second or first thought. I covered my mouth in shock, my eyes wide as I looked at him. "I'm sorry. I-I-I didn't mean to say that. I-Its just.." my voice trailed away as I started to mumble.

I heard the Hokage laugh, a smile on his face. The Kazekage laughed slightly and looked at me before he put his hands behind his back.

"(Y/n), you had a request, please continue." The Hokage said.

I took in a breath before releasing it. "I have been offered a chance to speak with someone. He offers to help my clan, the (L/n) clan. I have a small squad of three plus myself ready to go. I just need your permission to leave and talk to them. Sasuke, Naruto and Raven are willing to be the squad that come with me. I will be the one leading them. This will take no longer then a week." I said quickly. Not wanting to waste anytime.

I looked at them before the Kazekage spoke, "So you are the one that is leader of that clan. I'm surprised your still alive after your parents were murdered by the Akatski all that time ago. And your only a Genin, and is leading your clan from a different village." He spoke quietly, like almost to himself.

The Hokage nodded. "Very well. You may go." I nodded and put my mask on again, then I left and ran to the gates. Naruto was talking with Raven and Sasuke was by himself, looking outside of the village.

"We have permission to leave. Lets go." I said and left the Village.
