Chapter 35- New Years, New People

 Chapter 35- Unexpected Guests

Ahrianna’s POV

“Do I have to Alice?” I whined as she pulled through the house, we were headed towards her bedroom. I knew what she had in store for me and I didn’t like the idea one bit.

“Oh come on Ahria its not going to be that bad,” Ness, said happily from beside me, I still couldn’t believe she came willingly. I huffed as we made it through Alice’s doorway, only to be spun around several times and end up sitting on a chair.

“This is your first New Years Eve party, you are going to look amazing. I can promise you that.” Alice said stubbornly “and seeing as I can’t see your future I have no idea what I’m going to do to you.” She added making out it was my fault she couldn’t see my future anymore.

It was late afternoon and we had spent all morning and early afternoon getting the house decorated and ready for the party. Alice now danced around her room like a graceful ballerina, gathering up different instruments to make me look ‘amazing’ as she put it. She looked so happy so I didn’t whinge or whine anymore, because I knew she really enjoyed doing this. So I sat back and relaxed as she played with my hair and face like I was a doll. After she had finished with me she moved onto Ness, the next thing I know I was taken into he closet and placed in front of a hanging dress bag. There were two hanging side by side, obviously one for ness and the other for me. Ness and I looked at each other and wondered what extravagance Alice had gone to now.

“I went out especially for these two dresses, I found them in a little store in Paris” when Alice had said the last word Ness and I both looked speechless.

“These are from Paris” Ness squealed with excitement, Alice simply nodded.

“I know Nessie, that you will love yours, I have seen it” Alice said proidly as she turned and unzipped the navy blue bag. It revealed a dark, emerald green, floor length dress, it was absolutely gorgeous. Ness started to jump up and down with excitement.

“Oh Alice! Its perfect!” She cried happily as she went and fingered and material.

“And now yours Ahria, I hope you like it” Alice smiled unsurely at me as she unzipped the matching navy blue bag.

Nicolas’ POV

While I waited for Alice to be done with playing dress up with Ahria, the rest of the family and I finished with the decorations and finishing touches, all to Alice’s specifications of course. When we had finished we all disappeared to get ready, as quickly as possible I got changed into a black Brioni Suit with a skinny black tie, and hurried downstairs not wanting Ahria to be without me. But of course when I arrived back to the living room, she was nowhere to be found. It was at times like this I got annoyed with Alice’s eye for perfection. In my eyes Ahria was already perfect. After a while everyone else had arrived, our family members and few friends we had invited from across the country and of course the pack and their imprints. I estimated around 40 people would be joining us to celebrate the New Year. But there was still no sign of Ahria, I sighed to myself.

“Don’t worry brother, she is in capable hands with Alice” Jasper said with a deep voice from beside me, I turned so I was facing him and smiled. “Or maybe you should be worried” he added, we both laughed. Everyone in the house were chatting amongst themselves, with music playing in the background.

“Alice can never be on time to these things can she?” I questioned towards my brother, we both laugh again.

“Always fashionably late brother” Jasper nodded in another direction. My eyes casually glanced over to where he had nodded, through the crowd of vampires and werewolves my eyes landed on the stairway that lead down into the room, at the top I saw Renesme in an emerald green dress and Alice in a short gold sequined dress. They both gracefully descended the stairs, everyone’s eyes were on them but all I could see was the beautiful blond following behind them, Ahrinna.
