Chapter 4- Introduction
Ahrianna's POV
Looking in the floor length mirror in Alice's bathroom, I see a flawless young girl with wavy thick blonde hair flowing down to the middle of her back, her face is slightly round with very well proportioned features, her lips are perfectly shaped- creating a heart shape in the middle- the nose is just buttony enough and those eyes. The eyes look enchanting, framed with little back lashes surrounding the brilliant green eyes with a hint of goldenness within them. Her cheeks has a slight rosyness to them. And the clothes, they are so pretty, she is wearing blue high waisted jeans with a navy blue and white stripy top tucked in with a back cardigan and black ballet pumps. Then the girl in the mirror starts to lift her hand, reaching her pale fingers to glide them across her cheek. It wasn't until I felt that my fingers touching my check that I realised this girl in the mirror was me. I looked like the most perfect half human half vampire in existence.
"So what do you think?" Alice chimed from the door way of the bathroom. I turned to look at her quite surprised, because I hadn't been aware of someone watching me.
"I-I look.. perfect." I stated, looking back into the mirror to make sure the girl (me) had not changed.
"Well, I must say you do Ahria." She smiles the widest grin I could ever imagine on her face. "Rosalie isn't going to be happy" she muttered under her breath. Before I had a chance to ask who that was, there was a knock at the door.
"Come in!" Alice squealed. Turning around on her heal and heading into the bedroom, I followed shyly. As I get to where is standing, Carlisle had entered the room and was speaking to Alice in a low voice.
"Ah, Ahrianna my dear" he says happily turning to face me. "How are you?" He asks in the most friendly time imaginable.
"So much better for having that cast off!" I said laughing to myself. Alice had helped me take it off before my bath. Only because I wouldn't be able to where what she wanted me to with it on.
"I would of so much preferred if you kept it on Ahria" he said shaking his head with a smile on his face.
"Sorry Carlisle, but look-" I said walking around showing him my leg was fine "-all better" I announced also with a smile on my face. He just chuckled and agreed to let it go.
"So Ahria, I was hoping you would come downstairs and meet the rest of our family, and maybe tell us your story?" Carlisle said with a cautious look on his face. Suddenly I felt really panicky and scared. 'What is they try to hurt me' I kept thinking to myself. Carlisle must of picked up on my mood from facial expressions because he came closer to me putting one hand on my shoulder gently and slowly, careful not to frighten me.
"My dear, I promise you that there is nothing to fear in this house. My family will not harm you, you have my word" he said with so much confidence in his voice. I just looked up to him to meet his eyes and knew he was telling the truth.
"Ok" I said, turning to look at Alice she darted out of the room, just before she did she have me a brilliant smile. Carlisle stood back a bit and outstretched his hand toward me. Without even thinking, I took it and followed him through the house.
'This house is massive' I thought to myself looking around as Carlisle led me through the different hallways and stairways. It was very spacious and white but homely at the same time. I loved it. It was a proper home, not one that I have ever known.
Walking through a threshold into the main living area I presume, I looked around quickly only to notice seven sets of eyes focusing on me. 'Oh no, what's going to happen' I thought in my head. I had stopped just in the door way stunned by the number of people in the room. My heart rate picked up and I began to panic. 'I can't have a panic attack here, there too many people watching' I though to myself again. So I closed my eyes trying to calm myself, still knowing that there are seven pairs of eyes trained on me. Once I feel confident enough I open my eyes and see that Edward is. right in front of me leaning down to my height. He looked at me straight in the eyes.
