Ahriannas POV

I took a deep breath and wrapped my arms around myself before I descended the white staircase, the same stair case that would lead me into a room filled with my family, a room that would also be filled with people who knew answers to my questions. How I knew they were all there, because they had been there all night. Nick had assured me everything would be ok, but I didn't quite believe him. Towards the bottom of the stairs I slowed, I could feel Nicks presence behind me, that's the only thing that kept me moving.

With one last step I was on level floor, I looked up to meet all of the gazes of the room, everyone of my family members were there including the Denali's. My eyes scanned the room and met with everyone's, Esme eyes caught me first, I offered her a small smile as I walked closer to her. Instinctively she moved towards me and tucked me into her side like any mother would to protect her children. Then I met eyes with, Carlisle who was stood with most of his cousins, they all smiled in my direction.  Edward was next to meet my eyes and Bella who was stood beside her husband. Ness was nowhere to be see. Then Alice and Jasper who were stood by the back door, Alice looked kind of sad, if vampires could look sad that is. Rosalie smiled at me as I looked at her, Emmett was the only one to moved his position when he smiled a false smile to me. This sent my stomach into knots.

As Emmett's body repositioned I could see a dark figure behind him looking out the glass into the forest. I immediately stiffened when I realised it was Eleazar. Then I realised Emmet had repositions himself to better block the path between Eleazar and myself.

'Was it really necessary for Emmet to place himself between the two of us' I questioned to myself. Thinking that if my brother didn't trust him, should I? Then suddenly I had the thought, what if it was my brother procuring Eleazar from me. This thought replayed and replayed throughout my mind, had they finally realised that I am a monster. What if I were to lose my family, what if they didn't want me anymore. All these questions running around my head. I couldn't see clearly anymore. It was all a daze.

In the background behind all my chaotic thoughts I could faintly her some noises. I couldn't make them out. Suddenly I could feel hands on my skin, instinctively I pulled away and growled.

Edwards POV

I didn't have to be a mind reader to know that Ahrias mind was running away with her, not only was the atmosphere in the room changing he shield was relapsing all over the place. She had to get it under control or someone was going g to get hurt. Esme and Nick were trying to calm her down, talking to her smoothly and trying to reassure her, though nothing was getting through. Just then Nick put his hand on her arm, the whole room went silent following the tremendous noise that erupted from her throat.

'Bad move' I thought watching Nick recoil, I took a few steps in front of my Bella protectively. Not that I would have to protect her from Ahria, it was just instincts.

I quickly looked around the room, seeing everyones panicked faces, Emmett had firmly planted his body in front of Eleazar. He really hadn't liked what was said last night while Ahrianna was asleep. Other family members had congregated around Ahria. Jasper was as close as he could get, attempting to calm her emotions but to no avail. Nick was still trying to get through to her, he wouldn't have given up even if were his last second to live.

I had a sudden idea, it came to me out of nowhere. I got to the piano as quickly as it were possible, sat down and started to play. Soft music started to fill the room, the voices my my panic family hushed and Ahria's ears pricked to the sound. Still not claiming her completely I was out of ideas.

Another sound rose into the room, a gentle and angel like voice started to join in with the notes of the piano. I looked in disbelief around the room, Carmen who was stood to the side of the large room was singing. Her eyes were closed and she was pouring her soul out with such sweet sounds.

After a few seconds Ahria's legs gave way, Nick and Esme were there to catch her before she barely moved an inch towards the floor. She calmed down and silent tears flowed down her cheeks as she watched Carmen sing.

The last few notes hung in the air, I looked over to Carmen who still had her eyes closed. I was in awe of her ability to sing to a melody she had never heard before. She finally opened her eyes and looked at me, her head bowed a little and so did mine. Bella put her hand on my shoulder and squeezed, indicating that she thought my piano idea was just what was needed.

After a few minutes Ahria had calmed herself and gone off with Alice to "powder her nose" as Alice put it. Ahrianna was so apologetic towards everyone for her sudden outburst, she had explained she had not been sleeping well recently due to nightmares and it had all booed up.

'I'm worried about her nightmares' Alice's thought chimed over everyone else's thoughts as she left the room with Ahria. I didn't look at her but nodded ever so so slightly in agreement.

When they came back Carlisle took Ahria over to a couch and sat her down so her back was turned to most of who were in the room, his thinking was that the less people she sees the better. I could see in Carlisles mind that he couldn't find the words to begin talking, he didn't want to say the wrong thing in case he upset her again, but he knew she needed to know the truth.
