Soon the meeting is over, people start to leave the room one buy one. I don't move from the chair i was originally forced into. I don't want to move, though no one is forcing me to stay in this chair anymore. He stands next to me, it's only him the shadow covered woman and him left in the room now. He looks up at her with a thoughtful expression on his face. Like he's weighing his options, trying to pick which one is the wisest.
"I don't suppose you'd mind to keep an eye on our new recruit here." she gets up gracefully and walks to the door without word. Then stops at the door frame, and without turning around says, "Come." My heart jumps into my throat but i dare not disobey this woman, at least not when i'm so close to her. I follow her closely but not too closely out of the room.
She doesn't say a word to me as she leads the way through the dull, and dirty warehouse. We walk up a few flights of stairs until we reach the top floor. A few of the windows up here are busted and covered by black cloth like torn up curtains. They billow slightly in the light breeze of the night. She stops at one of the windows draws the cloth back and sits on the window sil. Her dark figure would be hard to see if it weren't for the light casted in by the stars. She does not look at me, but out at the stars as her dark hair blows back for the light breeze.
I pause and stand awkwardly near her not sure what to do or to say, or even if i should be saying anything. She breaks the war of my thoughts by startling me. "He's wrong you know." she says quietly which still startled me, i was not expecting her to say anything. She's been so quiet and mysterious from the beginning. What does she mean by he's wrong, of course he is he wants to take over the whole world and use us six to do it.
"I know he's wrong, how does he expect to take over the world?" i scoff as i watch her staring at the stars, she stares so intently like her only wish is to become one with them. She hasn't taken her eyes off them since we came up here.
She turns to face me suddenly and says urgently, " no that's not what i mean." her eyes catch me off guard, they are the brightest blue I've ever seen. I did not see them before when she sat in darkness, but now in the light of the stars and moon i can see her face clearly. Her eyes burning into mine like what she is about to say is the most vital thing in the universe. This makes me uncomfortable and nervous but i listen intently.
"It is possible for us to die..." she whispers. I become aware that she took me up here for a very specific reason, this is where we could be alone, where no one would hear what she had to say. I step closer to her, and she watches me closely trying to gage my reaction.
