The Phone call

I turn the computer on and wait for it to boot up. When it does i begin my intense research of the warehouse in New york. Are there more like that one all around the world. When that comes up dry i realize what i'm going to have to do. I have to talk to him. Great. I pull the small flip phone i got as a burner phone while here in England. I know what i have to do but i know it'll come at a cost. I have to choose every word i say to him carefully or this whole thing will fall apart.

Ring...ring...ring. "Hello," the voice is familiar even though the phone he sounds sickeningly the same. "What is it I don't have all day" he snaps when I don't answer immediately.

"I have a plan for you but I need a lot more people than we have in the warehouse up there." I try to keep my voice from shaking. I can't mess this up.

"And why's that" he's curious.

"Because we're going to take over the world and that measly amount of people you've collected won't get the job done." I put spite in my voice which is not hard because of how much I hate his existence.

"I'll let your tone slide since you're finally doing what you were created to do" he laughs as if this is the most amusing thing he's ever said. Created? What does he mean?

"Created?" I force my voice to come out calm.

"Yes, your mother your mother was very useful for me and when the brat of a brother disappeared I knew you'd come in handy someday."

"Do you want this plant to get started or do you want to have a therapy session?" I want to scream at him, I have to put every amount of self-control I have into not fucking this up. I'd kill him right now if I could but I have to be patient.

"There are more of us. In fact your close by. There's another warehouse in the middle of Europe. Be a dear and go convince them of the plan. Let me know when you have everything together. We will rule this pathetic world and make it great."
