One of the men in this group came up to me. I don't know his a name, and i don't really want to. Everyone here has blurred together. The only people that haven't blurred for me is the shadowy woman and him. The man asks me if i'm ready, i just nod. The shadow lady makes an appearance next to me after he leaves. She has been the only one that I've hung out with when i'm being tortured. "Good luck today." she says from behind me, i don't turn around i just nod. " You haven't talked in two weeks" she says like shes keeping track to see when i finally break and speak again.
I walk away, i don't want to deal with the questions; not right now. I walk out of the old warehouse that has become my new home, prison, and personal hell. My last torture awaits, let's get it over with. I walk to the car followed by him. He drives us and two others into the city. We pull over in a dark alley, and he orders for everyone to get out of the car. It's about midnight the cities light shine brightly into the sky.
"Rules: one don't run from us, two you must kill five people or we stay out here until you do. 3rd and final rule i get to pick who you kill. " I had no idea about the last rule, he will pick anyone he knows that might break me. He smiles sickly at me when he finishes his list of rules. I know this won't be easy, not one bit. I say nothing, just staring into his eyes trying to make myself seem like i'm determined to please him. Also trying not to throw up all over the road of this small alley that we will leave the car in.
He leads the way out of the alley as i follow behind him; behind me are my two other babysitters. I feel bad for anyone in this part of the city tonight, they are all at risk. We have to walk for a few minutes before coming across someone. It's an older man that's rushing around like he's late for something. My leader pauses, then turns to me and hands me a gun. If I knew it would work i would just shoot him in the back of the head now but sadly he'd just come back. Then I'd have hell to pay.
He points to the older man and tells me that he will be my first kill. Great. I push past him without a word and walk closer to the older man. I stand on the sidewalk in front of him as he walks my way quickly, without paying much attention. He almost runs into me before he notices that i'm standing in his way, stopping he looks up from his phone at me. " Excuse me." he says slightly irritated. When i don't move he grows worried, " Can i help you?" he asks sounding a little scared but still a little annoyed. I keep my hand on the gun in my jacket pocket, not saying a word. I feel like crying and throwing up all at the same time. This man hasn't done a thing to me, yet i'm about to kill him. My hand twitches on the cold metal of the gun. Id much rather shoot myself right now. " I'll just get-" he starts to say but stops when he watches me slowly pull out the gun. I hold it with both hands at face level. He stands there frozen in fear, with his eyes wide. I'm sick to my core. I whisper run, under my breath. He doesn't hear me.
