"What's our next step?" I hear a man in a fairly deep voice ask.
"Well, that's actually what I came to talk to you about. A few of our members are getting a bit restless. They are saying that they haven't seen enough action lately. They want you to start another war among the humans. Spice it up a little. They are threatening to leave if you don't make something more fun happen" A woman voice says from around the corner. She sounds like she's been screaming a lot lately because her voice is gravelly and hoarse.
"Really now?" The man asks in a dangerous voice.
"Hey don't shoot the messenger," she complains. Then starts to walk down the stairs towards me. I have to move quickly in order to not be seen so I climb over the beat up railing of the staircase and hang off the side just out of sight of the woman that comes walking past me.
I lift myself back onto the stairs and begin to ascend yet again. I reach the man at the top; he has his back turned towards me. He is wearing jeans and a button down short sleeve shirt. I can tell he has something in his hand but I cannot see what it is. It could be a weapon but that's alright, I have my own weapon with me. If he attacks at worst I'll die and come back tomorrow.
Silently I approach him. "I've been sent to speak with you," I say in a low voice yet he jumps the tiniest bit at my sudden statement. He turns around quickly to see who is speaking to him, I see his face change when he realizes that he does not recognize who I am.
