"I can't," Sam muttered.

We were standing in the back of the tour bus, headed to our next destination. It was almost three in the morning and she was driving everyone crazy due to her constant pacing and mumbling. I closed off the lounge section and locked her in, my eyes and body tired after the show we'd performed just hours before.

I sighed. "Sam, you've still got a few days. We don't be in Indianapolis until the thirtieth. Just wait it out and see how you feel-,"

She cut me off, running her hands through her hair to get her bangs out of her face. "No, I need to go. I know that. I can't put it off anymore, not when I'm going to be in the same city as them. I'm doing this."

"Then do it and stop thinking about it," I slightly snapped at her. I ran a hand down my tired face.

Sam flopped down on the couch and crossed her arms over her stomach, exhaling a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry I'm such a burden," she said quietly.

I took a seat next to her, throwing my arm around the back of the couch behind her. "You're not a burden, Sam. It's just that it's really late and I'm really tired, okay? Can you worry tomorrow morning? At like ten?"

A smirk flashed across her face and she leaned up, pecking the corner of my mouth. "Okay. I'll worry in the morning."

I gave her a smile. "Good. Now let's go to bed."

"I'm going to stay in here for a bit, okay? Just go to sleep. I'll see you in the morning," she said.

Nodding, I gave her a quick kiss and stood, letting myself out of the room. As soon as my head hit the pillow in my bunk I was out like a light.

Sound check was over and we could already hear fans screaming from their seats even though the show didn't start for another three hours. I was backstage playing a game of football with the boys. Louis was taking the game was too serious as usual, and Niall was getting defensive about his playing.

"Pass me the ball, Niall!" I called from across the room. Louis had Niall cornered as Niall danced the ball between his feet. Liam was heading for me. "Pass it!"

Niall pivoted his body quickly, catching Louis off guard. I faked left and instead pushed right, slowing Liam down. Niall kicked the ball straight to me and I had it in my line of vision. I sprinted towards it. Louis and Liam were yelling at each other while Niall tried to cover me. I knew it was a longshot, but I paused for a second and kicked the ball as hard as I could toward our homemade goal line.
