...and it hit her hard.

~

Something warm was trailing down her hand. It was wet and it was followed with quiet sobs.

Jae Eun lay there. She was physically still, but her mind was everywhere. She forced her eyelids open, but it was followed with immense pain in her head.

Light crashed into her eyes, making her squint. She slowly moved her head down to her hand, and found a head lying there.

Mom...

Jae Eun couldn't speak at all, her body was refusing. Her finger twitched and her mothers head shot straight up.

"Jae Eun-ah!" she stood up and hugged her. Jae Eun was startled, and was too late to hug her back.

"Kwenchana?" she asked, looking all over her body worridley.

How did you get here? How did you find out? What happened to me?

She had questions racing through her mind all in one go, and when she opened her mouth to speak, no words came out.

"Wait, let me call you father," she hurridley went out of the room.

The door opened again, revealing a doctor with both of her parents next to him.

The doctor scribbled something on his clipboard and took her parents outside. Jae Eun tried to listen to their conversation, but couldn't hear anything. There were just muffled sounds.

Her mother came right back in, followed by her father and they both sat in front of her, on the edge of her bed.

"Jae Eun-ah, we're so sorry," they apologised one after the other. "We were never there for you, we made you suffer alone, we're...we're...we're so sorry..." Her father sounded so uneasy. Tears were rolling down her mothers cheeks.

Jae Eun couldn't stand seeing her parents like this. She somehow found the strength to sit up and she held her mom's hand. She smiled sweetly at both of them, and warmly added:

"It's ok, I didn't want to give you any pressure," even though it was a lie and se was deeply hurt that they really didn't bother knowing whether she was okay, she managed to make it soud like it was true.

They both jumped on her and hugged her as if she was going to be taken away.

"Please forgive us," they said in unison.

"It's okay," Jae Eun's voice cracked. She felt tears streaming down her face.

"We won't go anywhere, we'll stay here until you recover and do good in school again," they smiled at her and wiped away her tears.

"That would be nice," Jae Eun fiddled with her fingers.

Even though they sounded reassuring, one thing was still bothering her.

Jungkook.

How will she get rid of him? Will he ever stop?

Jae Eun sat there uneasily, thinking of all the possible situations that would happen at school.

"We'll let you rest, get some sleep," her parents kissed her on the forehead and walked out of the room.

Jae Eun lay down on her bed, snuggling up in the thin blanket. She was afraid that she would have to go through everything again.

But, the position she was in didn't feel right. How didn't she die when she jumped? From a 5 story building, how did she not end her life?

She clearly remembered the impact and her head literally breaking apart, but she also remembered his voice trying to comfort her.

"What was that all about? Telling me to get down..." she huffed and rolled her eyes.

Jungkook probably didn't want to get in trouble for pushing someone to suicide. For some reason, Jungkook didn't even sound annoyed, neither did he expect it to happen. He was either startled or being very calm in that moment.

"UGGGH!" Jae Eun kicked the blanket, frustrated. He was so confusing. It didn't feel real at all.

It didn't feel real...

Real...

"Wait, is this..." Jae Eun didn't get a chance to finish her sentence.

A familiar figure walked in.

What?

"J-Jungkook?"
