Jae Eun reached the canteen, and took her food to the sports hall, to eat in her usual place, under the benches.
Not seeing BTS all day made her feel a little abandoned, but that meant she wouldn't have to go through their torture. She walked into the empty sports hall and under the benches.
As she crouched under, there was no space for her to sit. It was all filled with equipment that was never there before.
"What the heck?" she spoke to herself, scratching the back of her neck.
She sat on top of the benches, in the corner, trying to hide herself even though no one was around.
"Guys! BTS are going to have a match here!" a sudden voice startled her. It was followed by a group of squealing girls and fanboys.
Jae Eun started packing her things to exit the hall as soon as possible, but crowds of people had blocked the exit.
She quietly waited, but after 10 minutes, noticed that they weren't going to budge. Loud cheering blocked her ears and she went back to her original place.
As she was on the top row, she could see the whole hall. BTS came in walking in their kit and smiled at the crowds.
"So full of themselves..."Jae Eun muttered under her breath.
"Namjoon! Saranghae!"
"Suga! You'll win this for sure!"
"Jin! I'm jealous of your face!"
So many compliments were being thrown to them that is slightly annoyed Jae Eun. If this is what idols felt like when they were at fan meetings, she felt sorry for them.
BTS made their way to the middle of the court as people cleared the area for them. They practiced passing the ball to each other and shooting hoops.
But Jungkook didn't seem as focused. He was scanning the crowds and the benches, as if he was looking for something, or someone.
Jae Eun didn't want to be noticed by him, so she slouched down behind a row of people.
She didn't know if he saw her, so she stayed where she was.
"And now!" a few voices in unison shouted.
Jae Eun sat up quickly and saw the match had started. So many girls were screaming and jumping around, whilst boys tried to keep their cool.
"Can't they shut up for like 5 minutes?" Jae Eun was way too annoyed.
She stood up and snaked through the excited people, making an exit. She looked at BTS playing, and saw that Jungkook has spotted her. Her eyes widened and she started walking faster.
His eyes followed her walking through the crowd. He quickly ran to her, but at the same time heard someone call his name.
"Jungkook! Watch out!" he turned his head and saw the ball flying towards him. He ducked, dodging it perfectly, but within moments, realized that it headed straight for Jae Eun.
It crashed into her head, making her stumble forward. She quickly took the back of her head, and felt dizziness and pain over-take her.
Why is it always my head being targeted?!!?!?
She turned around and saw Jungkook standing there with a shocked expression on his face.
God...you can't ever leave me alone, can you?
She felt her vision becoming blurry. She slowly trudged to the exit, but felt a hand on her shoulder.
"It wasn't me.." he stated firmly, persuading her.
"Right, it wasn't you..." she sarcastically said.
"It wasn't," he grabbed her shoulder harder, making her flinch.
Out of anger, she turned and yelled right at him.
"If you want to replay everything again, go ahead! I don't even care anymore!" she shouted at him, making everyone turn their heads towards them.
Jungkook looked at her, realizing the things he did in the past still hit her hard.
"Look...In the past, I didn't-" he started.
"You didn't what? You didn't know how much it hurt? How much it hit me? You're ridiculous, doing all of this for the fame," she spat it at him as if the words were poison.
He eyeballed her, feeling her anger drill through him.
"If your waiting for me to accept your help, or expect me to forgive you, well, let me tell you something..." she stepped closer to him.
He stayed where he was, returning the threatening gaze.
"It's going to be impossible..." she stood there for a few moments, feeling glares on her.
He was completley speechless. His mind was blank and he didn't find any words to express what he was feeling.
All ofa sudden, the bell rang, breaking their staring contest. Jae Eun turned around, heading for the exit. Jungkook took her by the arm, pulling her back.
She shook him hand off roughly. "I have to go to class," she mumbled, and paced out of the hall.
Jungkook, as well as the rest of the people in the hall stood and took in the moment. Jungkook was left staring at the empty doorway, motionless.
What do I have to do to get her to trust me?
Helplessness clouded over him and he sighed heavily. He thought for a few seconds, and then it struck him.
A grin formed on his face and he ran out.
"Kookie! Where are you going?" Jimin shouted after him.
"Just one day!" he bunny smiled at them, leaving them confused.
"Without me?!" Jimin chased after him, but was stopped by Jin.
"Let him be.." he said quietly.
Jimin pouted and all the students in the hall were awe-struck. But after a few minutes, left as if nothing had happened.
Jungkook was pacing out of the school, with the biggest smile on his face.
You will trust me...you have to..
