Chapter 22

I decided to skip Jae Eun waking up and getting ready for school. This is just her in class now with Suga and Jungkook.

The hallways were clamorous and at the gossiping could be heard from miles away. Jae Eun had her earphones in, and was walking quietly through the corridoors, towards her classroom.

As she reached the entrance, she saw Suga and Jungkook sitting on the desk next to hers, which wasn't their normal places. Besides them were some girls who were checking them out from behind and one of them was Soo Hyun.

Jae Eun made her way to he desk, making Jungkook turn his head slightly to glance at her.

"Oppa! I bought you lunch!" Soo Hyun cuddled up to him, and the other girls went up to Suga, giggling, making Suga silently cringe in disgust.

"Urrr, thanks?" Jungkook took the little bento box and placed it on the desk, turning towards Suga to continue their conversation.

Jae Eun sat there, taking out her textbook and notebook from beneath the desk, where she left it from the last class.

"Students! Sit in your places! The lesson is going to start!" the teacher walked in, screaming as always.

Jungkook rushed to his place, but smiled at Jae Eun before sitting down.

Okay?

She opened up her notebook and saw a little post-it stuck to the corner of a fresh page.

Don't forget to smile!

What? Who keeps on putting these everywhere!!??

She took it, and as well as being frustrated, smiled at the inspiring note. She looked up and continued with the lesson, giggling inside like a fangirl.

The lesson ended and the teacher announced the reminder.

"Don't forget to work on your projects!" and with that, she left the class.

Oh yeah! Wait. Am I working on it by myself or with the group?

"Um...Hye Mi-ah. Are you doing the sculpture?" Jae Eun asked Hye Mi before she could leave the classroom.

"What? Are you feeling okay? We made it clear that you're doing EVERYTHING by yourself. We're just here for the easy A," she smirked and walked off.

Looks like it was a dream after all. But what about the ramen? Where did that come from? 

She looked at Jungkook, and he looked....ashamed? His eyes fell and he stood there helplessly, as if something was bothering him

She went to her desk and because it was the last class of the day, decided to stay to work on the project.

It was a few minutes before the whole class was empty, and only Jungkook and Suga remained.

Jae Eun took this chance to ask him about what he meant last night.

"Um, Suga, what did you mean last night?" she asked, interrupting their conversation. She looked at Jungkook who seemed to be shocked and uneasy.

"Last night? Oh. About the thanking part?" he smirked.

"Yeah.." she was quiet.

"Well, baby girl," 

CRINGE

"I wasn't actually the one who heard you scream. Someone else did, but because they were busy, sent me to save you," he quickly looked at Jungkook and back at Jae Eun.

"Who sent you?" she enquired.

"Ju-"

"We have to go to pratice! We're late!" Jungkook suddenly yelled, making Jae Eun flinch in shock. He grabbed Suga's arm and ran out of the class.

Rude. I didn't even hear what he was going to say.

She huffed a little and walked back to her desk. Continuing with the project and flipping through a few notes, there was a sticky note in the middle.
