Glistening, your eyes trap the ocean inside
Blue turns gray in times where you've lost your pride
You think I don't notice that, but I do
But after everything, what else is new
Your eyes lose their sparkle some days, when you're not smiling
I noticed that, always do, but you keep on styling
I admire your will to stay strong in times of hurt
When you eyes face towards the dirt
Here's something you don't know, my eyes sparkle when we talk
But you don't notice it because your eyes aren't that of a hawk
How can I tell you that you catch my attention
Do I say, "I sorry, I forgot to mention"
Because I think I've fallen in love with you
But you only show credit to people where credit is due
Do I not deserve it? Have I done something wrong
When I am with you, I feel like I belong
Because like you, my eyes can sparkle too
And you sit there like you haven't got a clue
