Across the Sea

Her breath is light and thin

A losing war she's desperate to win

Angels and demons, but there are no sides

She curls up, sits down and cries

There's a faint smile on soft pink lips

She speaks in little rhymes and quiet quips

Scars on her arms, angry and red

With a silver blade in hand, her arms bled

No words spoken, there's nothing to be said

All that they knew was that she fled

No clues as to where she went

It was only a matter of time well spent

She reappears two weeks later, something there, another here

It was hard to find her as she lived out her life in fear

Her family wondered and worried, where could she be

She would wonder the same as her plane flew across the sea

The plane landed and someone picked her up

He muttered questions with curt answers mumbled into a cup

She disappeared, this time for good

Only one picture to see, her face hidden under a hood
