A little girl and her mom were talking about what she wanted to be when she grew up
Mom: Baby girl, do you want to be a princess when you grow up?
Little Girl: Yes momma, I want to be a princess!
Mom: Why, la mia piccola bellezza?
Little Girl: Because they are beautiful, loved, and rich. Momma, I wanna be rich because that means you can have food, and I can take care of you
A few years pass before they talk about career choices again
Mom: Do you want to be a princess when you grow up?
Girl: No, I want to be a doctor!
Mom: Why do you want to be a doctor, my sweet?
Girl: Because doctors help save peoples lives and keep people healthy. I could take care of you when you get older, just like you do me
The girl goes through high school, and goes off to college. She returns home for every holiday, and then they talk again
Mom: Do you want to be a princess still?
Girl: No thank you, mom, I don't need to be a princess.
Mom: Why not, my young beauty?
Girl: Because I need to have money to be happy and loved. I have all I ever wanted by just having you.
Years passed, and the girl finally has a family of her own. She gets a call one night from her mother's friend, and finds out her mother passed away. She makes a speech at the funeral.
Girl: I was always asked by my mother if I wanted to be a princess, and I always said no. I didn't want to be a princess because I already was one. I was my mom's princess since the beginning, and I didn't need to be rich to love her. Having her in my life was the only thing I ever wished for because there's some families that don't have a mother, or a family to call their own.
