Goodbye

She was a fool, loving someone like him

Tears in her eyes that fill to the brim

He brushed her off like gum on his shoe

Oh foolish boy...if only you knew

She put her heart in his hand

Yet he shattered it, threw it in the can

Her dull brown eyes still sought out his soft blue

Why must his eyes be the most comforting hue

Yet three years passed and she starts fresh

His eyes widen, couldn't believe it was her in the flesh

For she said goodbye, no one needs him

Life loving him would only be dim

Her dull brown eyes renew an old flame

And if anyone asks, he was the one to blame

She said goodbye and left his world without a bet

For his decision to ruin her began to make him regret
