She was a fool, loving someone like him
Tears in her eyes that fill to the brim
He brushed her off like gum on his shoe

Her dull brown eyes still sought out his soft blue
Why must his eyes be the most comforting hue
Yet three years passed and she starts fresh
His eyes widen, couldn't believe it was her in the flesh
For she said goodbye, no one needs him
Life loving him would only be dim
Her dull brown eyes renew an old flame
And if anyone asks, he was the one to blame
She said goodbye and left his world without a bet
For his decision to ruin her began to make him regret
