Broken Pieces

You were such a good person, or at least that's what you showed.
Your bright personality drew me in from the start, and yet, I should have known.
There came a time where something went wrong.
And you came around, dancing to your song.
I hoped, I prayed, I found myself anew.
But everyone knows, what makes a person is what they do.
You took my scarred past, twisted my friend's fate.
What you did to me...all I feel is hate.
I may not seem like it, but I'm a house of cards, barely staying up.
Yet that didn't matter, did it? You drank my blood straight from a cup.
You beg, you plead, you ask what you did!

Blame it on something, or nothing at all.

My friend's death was not a supposed to be your toy.

All so you could watch me shatter in fear.
