She's got innocence in her eyes
And lovin' in her heart
But at night she draws the pain on her thighs
And that is something she calls art
There's one person she loves but she goes without notice
How can someone like him love her if she's broken
Yet, he did see her, calls her his beautiful lotus
He wanted her so bad, but he goes unspoken
His broken blue eyes always trained on her
But he buried his love as she began to slip and drown
Days, weeks, and years always blur
Then he took her as his queen, and gave her his crown
Their love filled their empty hearts and mended their pain
Dates, jobs, love and so much hope
Slow dancing like nothing mattered in the pouring rain
She had been drowning, and he gave her his rope
