Scout's Poem

75 4 6

Here one day, gone the next
Not even I could read the text
Slipping and sliding, it's all downhill
Your body now lays cold and still

Pale blue lips, and shut eyes
People visiting and many goodbyes
Crying and sobbing over you
Yet you watch from above, sat by the moon

Hanging on by one last thread
All your pleas have already been read
Gone once more, you slipped away
Knowing that we will meet another day

Found by your mother, your fate was sealed
The damage you caused could not be healed
You slipped away, right under our noses
You're found doing one of those stupid poses

A wooden box, a body inside
That's your body they're trying to hide
A necklace of hope strung around your neck
A necklace sent from my deck

Tired eyes shut one last time
Finally, your end was nye
That was it, goodbye
