Chapter 3 - You still like him

Shelby's P.O.V.

The school day went on and Cyd continued to act really strange and being unusually quiet. Now we just got home and Cyd sat down on her bed. I walked over to to her and sat next to her.

"Cyd... what's wrong?" I asked worriedly.

"Nothing Shelbs..." She said.

"Cyd... I know you and this is not who you are. Something is bothering you I can tell that. Is it Madison?" I asked.

"Well yeah she's a stupid bitch" She said.

"But she hasn't done anything to you so what does you have against her?" I asked.

"I know... It's just... they way all the boys are all over her, it's disgusting" She said.

"Okay? I don't understand Cyd... You've never been interested in any guy in our school and you live to be an independant woman" I said confused.

Cyd stayed quiet and looked away. I didn't liked this because this wasn't the Cyd I know. She'd never keep a secret from me plus she'd never be this quiet. Like she hates quietness. All of a sudden her phone beeped. She took it up and I could see that she got a text from Naldo. A smile spread on her lips but as she opened the message it faded as fast as it got there. I looked over at the message and saw that it said.

Sorry Cyd but I'll go to the Zompire premiere with Madison on friday. We could have gone all three but it's actually a date so it would be awkward and you'd be the third wheel. But I hope you find someone to go with 😀

Cyd threw her phone on the bed and got all grumpy. I looked from the phone and then back at Cyd and suddenly it hit me. Naldo is the reason that she's upset.

"Cyd... it's Naldo isn't it? He's the reason that you hate Madison because he likes her... and ditched you to go and see the movie with her instead on friday?" I asked carefully.

"Yeah..." She said and bit her lip.

"You still like him don't you? Your crush from the 4th grade never really went away..." I said.

"I really thought I was over him you know... it's been 6 years and it was just supposed to be a small kid crush but then we got friends with him and Barry and just.... This is stupid Shelbs, he'd never like me back anyways... I've been friendzoned since the 4th grade... and now he really hurt me because he wanted to go with her to the zompire movie. I bet she doesn't even like those movies, she just wanted to go so she could hang out with Naldo, and I don't blame her for that because who doesn't want to hang out with Naldo... he's the funniest and sweetest guy ever... " She said and I could see a tear falling down her cheek.

"Oh Cyd... you're amazing and that he chooses Madison over you is because he's stupid and it's his loss. She'll never be as awesome as you..." I said and hugged her tightly.

"What should I do Shelbs?" Cyd said and sobbed.

"Well I don't know... but you shouldn't give up... I mean if Barry's science stuff is correct then she'll turn out to be a mean person who hopefully Naldo will not like anymore" I said.

"That's true, thanks Shelby. You're the best friend ever" She said and smiled at me.

I smiled back and then we decided to watch a comedy movie to get Cyd on other thoughts.

So this was a little chapter from Shelby's P.O.V and focused on her and Cyd's friendship so thereful there was some Cydby moments 🙈
